Re: This sounds like so many of us…
I have a 30-30 Winchester and a Seiko SBDX001 that are “keepers”. Everything else I’m just keeping custody of.

Re: Car Spotting
That’s it. It was very nicely finished. I don't think any expense was spared. Not surprising in this neighborhood. If no expense was spared, they would’ve put a Hayabusa motor in that thing and bumped the HP up to about 175 and the torque to about 100 lb-ft. That little skateboard would’ve screamed.

Just a little pot stirring because Moke posted his in a WRUW thread. It took me a minute to decipher the comment, but this is my guess.

A bit more “tangerine” than yellow, but still gets the idea.

IMG_8323.jpeg IMG_8326.jpeg IMG_8327.jpeg Wearing my Zoretto retro-inspired skin diver today. While I don’t normally buy from AlliExpress companies like “Watchdives”, but I took a flyer on their FKM “cut to length” rubber straps and they are actually pretty decent for $15. The slight taper (20mm to...

The trick to any bracelet is the fitted end link. I have that style mesh on my Squale 50 ATMOS, and while it was actually sold by Squale for the watch, it does look a bit like an afterthought (and that is even with a more squared off area between the lugs). https://watchbandit.com/wp-content/uploads...

Re: KWC Northern Lights
If this watch is to be designed as one to be worn on straps, would you consider squaring off the area between the lugs (similar to the Hemlig)? The blue version on a blue BC rubber strap would make a fun summer watch. The squared off inner lug area would minimize “strap gap”. It will have a bracele...

Re: Luxury watchmakers resort to state aid as demand falls
It seems quite a few luxury brands bet the farm on China being a never-ending market for their goods and are now facing reality. Unfortunately, I just don't think the Chinese market is coming back any time soon. It seems the Chinese real-estate market is in big trouble, and I just read that more tha...

Yes, mother mother ocean can be a royal bitch sometimes. Ultimately, the blame rests on the captain, in my opinion. There were thunderstorms reported in that area and he should have moved that ship out of the danger area. It isn’t like that ship didn’t have (likely state of the art) radios and weath...

Re: PSA: Hodinkee sale
I’m guessing it was more like the Doxa sale at Jomashop kind of thing. They quickly realized they underpriced the offers and corrected the prices. Or maybe it was a “Black Friday” type thing where the first handful were priced very aggressively and the prices quickly went back up once word got out. ...

After 6 years the Kia van died- well sort of, needed another $3,000 in engine work after I put about $900 in. No complaints, put 1000k miles on it in our time so it was over 140,000. Did not plan on it of course, thought it would last another few years so we found an interim for now. Always dreamed...

I'm guessing it's 600 Invictas. A valuation of 1.4 million would price them at $2333.00 each. Oh my goodness, I hope you are right! If you really have 600 of these https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-42e798d2008a26feecc6cfa7c6b111c0 :thatshot: That's so hot. I'd trade my Rolex for a bad boi like...

I like it better than the first version, but I still think the orange dial Pro is “iconic” Clive Cussler Doxa and would been the right choice for a tribute watch.
