Real or fake Girard Perregaux
Gents just need a conformation either way on this Girard Perregaux, as it has an association with Argentina. Great watch, this is the recreation made by Gerlach for the Spanish watch forum. This is mine besides a Seiko 6105 for comparison (still has the plastic on the glass) http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t172/otr002/All%20Watch/Watches/file_zps5c11d049.jpg Lume Shot http://i160.photobucket.com/a...

Re: What am I missing here?
I bought mine from Harold for less than $400, can't remember exactly how much. It's a great hunk of a watch and after some finessing it runs around +1sec a day. It's one watch that i just love to wear, for the price and the tough nature it's just a care free watch  http://i160.photobucket....

This is what makes this forum so good, the levelling comments and good banter, I do like other peoples mod's as it's a reflection of themselves and their thoughts at the time, they built it to wear, good on 'em

Homages etc, no need to reply......
No need to reply.......another pilot/milspec/field watch has been reviled (correct spelling). Yep a rant, I'm getting very tired of the relentless homages/mods coming out from anyone and everyone that has an idea of what the latest "retro" diver/pilot/milspec watch should look like. You'd think that...

These first release watches are different in many ways, 21J, notched case, satin hands, waterproof dial and case back and several internal differences.BBK357 wrote:Never seen the dial that has the "5 sports" on it.
I also have a March 69 watch and it is identical.
