Re: Sinn U1 Love and hate, and love again.......

Absolutely love the aesthetic of the U1 and (no joke) currently on my 12th, courtesy of Paul. It's just too damn big and heavy for me and my 6.75" wrist. Picked up a U50 a few weeks back and while it took a while to adjust to the smaller size it's perfect. Same. I’ve owned 2-3 U1’s and picked up a ...

I like everything about that. At 10mm and Ti, I'll bet it wears like a dream.

I think given his wrist size, a new Tuna would be perfect although a new 300m is a little pricier. Green Willard is right around $1k.

Re: Removing Scratches from a Titanium watch

I also used an eraser with good luck. With raw Ti watches like the Pelagos, the surface oxidizes to give it the dull shade of gray. A fresh scratch reveals bare metal so they really show up, but eventually the scratch oxidizes to match the rest of the watch and fades.

Re: Pelagos half link??

Could this be 3D printed with someone with the right skills? Getting it to match the rest of the bracelet would be the challenge Might be easier to just cut the middle part of the link out, wield the two parts together, and then refinished. This is all nonsense. Just invest in the proper equipment ...

Re: SD TT - Opinions?

I think this works on a NATO, but the bracelet is too much. Those press photos seem to really downplay the blingy-ness of the gold. Other photos I have seen look very.... different. That dial would probably look killer on a Stainless Rolex, but I'm with Jacob in questioning the whole concept of a TT...

Does anyone know if the new 36mm Explorer 1 uses the EZ link or glidelock? I haven't noticed.
EZ link. This Tudor mini glide lock would be perfect but Rolex goes out of their way to keep the Tudor brand separate.

I just heard that Tudor is supposedly opening up boutiques in the USA shortly. At least two (one in NYC and the other in SoCal) but possibly more. BB58 bronze. But the big news is the glidelock clasp. Re: Tudor BB58 your thoughts & advice.

It would certainly not be my only watch. There are some that I'll always keep, my Speedmaster that I'd wanted from when I was a kid and finally got for my 50th, my Doxa's will stay too and probably a Sinn. Doubt I'll ever be a one watch man. A BB58 is expensive so a used one would be fine. So one v...

Re: Tudor BB58 your thoughts & advice.

BB58 would be a fine exit watch. Wore one every day for 18 months. Kept great time, was comfortable and reliable. Only sold it because I wanted to try a 16600, but the BB58 is a better “one” watch. Longer PR, more accurate, can wear it anywhere without worry. Etc…. Like a modern version of a 5 digit...

Re: What do you drive???

Next best thing is the ZF 8HP. i think that is what is in our Genesis. My BMW wagon has this. Great transmission. My last two cars were dual clutch so I was skeptical that I would like a traditional torque converter auto. ZF8 can be fast in sports mode and is much more comfortable in stop...
