Re: Bernhardt Sea Shark giveaway
I love the red dial version - I had one once and sold it. I've been looking for another model since. I'm in for the giveaway - please count me in - fingers and toes crossed! Thanks - Paul (heyman8) by the way - I'd be happy to pitch in for postage. And would also be happy to send a few Zulu straps y...

St. Martin suggestions?
Heading to St. Martin in a week. I'm not PADI certified, but planning to do a ton of snorkeling. Anyone been there? Thoughts on where to go/what to do? Any can't-miss snorkel/dive spots?
thanks in advance...

Re: I Am a Sucker for Lume
Mine says hello...I have one of the first 'tester' 42mm versions. Interesting thing is the WR on mine says 1000 vs the new issues which are 500. I'm pretty sure I'm not going close to either depth...which is good, b/c I don't really want to push my luck anyway! Here's my 42mm SD resisting a light dr...

Re: The U1
I was on the fence for a while about this one, but I ended up picking one up and I never regretted. This is an amazing watch. I was not really thrilled about the 'lego block' hands, but it really is a fine hunk of metal. Plus, I dig the shorter lug-to-lug measurement - no doubt it's a big watch, but...

Latest arrival...Ball Trieste!
Just landed this week...a Ball Hydrocarbon Trieste limited edition. All I can say is 'wow'. This is without a doubt the most serious hunk of dive watch metal I've owned. The diameter is a manageable 43mm, but add the unique locking crown system and the fact that she's all of 18.5mm tall and we're ta...

Watchfest in Chicago, June 11
My fav local AD in Chicago, New York Jewelers, is having a 'watch fest' on June 11. They've got reps coming in from a bunch of different watch companies including Ball, Anonimo, Oris and a few others. Thought I'd pass along the info. If anyone is interested, I'd be game for meeting up with somewhere...

Re: A night in the life of a suburban BASM
I'm happy to report that the BASM didn't fog up once during any of the extreme activities. Nor were any springbars broken. As for keeping time...I'm thrilled to report that 7s26 didn't stop. Not even once. A true testement to the fortitude and durability of this movement. Rock on with the BASM. :hea...

Further proof that a BASM can take anything you can dish out...here are some shots from a raucous night in the life of a suburban BASM... dude..that was no help at all...now I've got three choices!! Of course the option of keeping both might limit my options on where I sleep (couch or garage would likely be the only available options in this scenario!) :banghead: I don't even need to look at this thread at all to tell you: keep both b...

this Ball or that Ball?
yeah...sorry for the WUS-like question, but I am torn and need some thoughts. Two weeks ago, I stumbled upon a Ball Engineer Master II diver for sale and I snagged it. And then last week I found a Ball Worldtimer for a great price. And I picked that one up, too. I would love to keep both, but funds ...
