Re: New funky watch

I REALLY like this! I own a wild fun funky business (the most MARVELOUS arcade in the world) So I get to be a little funky! I most wear boring jeans and t-shirts or my business hoodies (free advertising LOL) So I tend to wear bright wild fun socks and always wearing different watches. I own a couple...

Re: The Hodinkee Eight-Day Travel Clock LE

I have a few really cool desk clocks and travel clocks AP, Panerai, Breitling etc. There have been times Ive taken a travel clock along places but if I do its not something I wouldn't be willing to lose and I lock them in the room safe for what little security that adds but I don't know this one jus...

Re: Monday 27 July *WRUW*

Woke up this morning and made a great find. I’ve moved 4x in the last 12 years and was convinced I lost the box this came in, not a big deal but the box had; the rubber strap for this, the gray Velcro dive strap, the black cloth strap & the bracelet it’s on now. It has been on the black Velcro dive ...

Yeah, that's all kinds of sexy!
Blue and Silver hands, moon phase, the outer ring and sub dial finish...
In general not a fan of the sub dial date but this is just perfect.

I'd like to pick up an offshore one day. The one I want is way out of my reach but at least the prices for it on the grey/secondary seem normal when compared to the MSRP (it's actually lower!) might have to actually sell something from the collection too :(
Which one are you looking at Knome?

Re: AP 15500?

VC is GREAT! I have gotten 7 various models for a client and they are his main brand now. His daily is the 41 mm blue dial date. He sold his AP to a friend and hasn't missed it. The Overseas line wears like the RO, the bracelet I think looks better and the bezel isn't as much of a ding magnet. You c...

Re: AP 15500?

The entire market has gone insane the past few years. Don't get me wrong there's always been strong secondary on Rolex, AP etc BUT With so many truly shutting ADs and going to Boutiques its truly gotten out of control. Omega, look at the Snoopy, White Snoopy, Alaska, Ultraman etc. All have gone up n...

I think with 30% off it so I’d be a buyer had I the fund. But they’ll be cheap used too
Seeing as its a LE of 50 I doubt they will depreciate at all used, most likely they will command a premium.

If anyone sees one at a discount let me know!

Re: INCOMING!!! Omega SM300 Tiffany Dial

gr8sw sometimes we are fortunate enough to run across something rare, very very rare. So rare I have spoken to several if the bigger vintage guys out there (dealers and collectors) and none have seen a SM300 with a Tiffany dial. They have seen models before and after but no one I know has seen a 300...

I am the guy who bought it, he was the original owner if you read that again.
He had given it to his dad sometime in the late 90s and it was flooded then.

Re: Do you still have the watch that got you started

My first watch over $250 was a Movado Museum or a Baume Mercier Chrono. This was back in the late 90's. It was simply a watch till I could afford a Rolex which is what I had always wanted. A year or so later I bought a SS Datejust as I could not justify the funds for the SD which is what I really wa...

OK Hope this is ok as it is not a dive watch but a Pilots watch. Longines Czech Aviators "Tartarugone" WWII Watch. This is the rarest of the three series. It is the second series which was only run briefly The first series had the 15.94 movement with enamel dials, the second series used the 15.26 wi...
