Re: 2 New SM300 based on NTTD

Yeah, if they put sword hands on it and made it out of Ti with a bracelet I would be on it.

I think they have greatly overestimated the influence of Hodinkee.

Re: Judge orders Rolex AD to reimburse client - unfair business practices

My wife had a Ladies two tone datejust and back in about 2009 or so we noticed that the bracelet was severely worn on the 12:00 side of bracelet. I sent it to Rolex New York and they took the old bracelet and sent a new bracelet without servicing the movement. I don't remember the cost but it was ov...

Re: Holy Sh!t on a motorcycle!

I have owned several Subs and probably 6 SD's and the newest SD 43 is the best of the bunch by a long shot. https://photos.smugmug.com/Rolex-Watch/i-qxMfkFd/0/CwMH8jhPQGW3rCCBTntDCNzXqr99JqssF4LB6zgRn/X3/DSC03135-X3.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Diving/i-spDF6fh/0/CZwNCjbJQL4fNKcmh4RcsjvWRxstC5Jg94...

Re: Pepsi Rumors

I heard from a very, very reliable source that the true story is that Rolex has been using Alien technology captured from a downed flying saucer up until now. Now the Venusians have come to take it back, so no more of the red and blue bezel inserts. I will be selling my Pepsi GMT for $100K next year.

Re: Pepsi Rumors

I think this rumor is non-sense. Why is a company like Steinhart able to make a GMT watch with a ceramic pepsi bezel with no problem? And their entire watch costs less than the price tag on the ceramic insert on the Rolex. Don't get me wrong here I am not suggesting that the Steinhart watch compares...

When I went to that thread I had to make a response.

When I Scuba Dive I generally wear my Seadweller under my wetsuit sleeve.

Omega swag box arrived

I bought one of the Ti Omega PloProfs from Omega recently, and had some minor problems with it when it arrived. Omega straightened everything out very quickly and I am happy with the result. As a thank you for putting up with the inconvenience they promised to send some sort of swag. It arrived the ...

Re: Ti Yacht-Master

I went into my AD today with a couple of watches I am thinking of trading to get them appraised. I left with a new Datejust for my Wife. They sort of hinted that I may be able to get the TiYM by the end of the year but were not giving much detail. They have not gotten one yet but they indicated that...

Re: Omega Marine

Sorry, guys but the guy in the bathysphere was at one atmosphere of pressure inside of it. So the Omega watch that he was wearing was at no more pressure than walking in the park on a Sunday afternoon. That whole little drama was meaningless in terms of water leakage or a pressure rating of that wat...

Re: Rolex at Watches & Wonders

You’re a credit to the forum Tom. This is the shittiest year of new watches from Rolex that I can ever recall. Lol That backwards sub may cause me nightmares The DSSD not getting a diver extension is a real kick in the nuts. I think that is wrong but I don't care too much because I always take them...

That's a good price for an overhaul even considering that minimum wage was $2.10 in 1975. That watch cost about $440 in 1972 when I checked them out, IIRC.

The black dial is discontinued. Others may be soon, but are at least very limited. They are not really special order but if you email Omega and get your name on the list for one they will contact you when one comes up. I bought this recently. A word of caution: if your wrist is over 8", be sure that...

I have had this Dreadnought Voyager for about 5 or 6 years now and I consider it to be one of the best watches for the money that I have ever owned.

I have owned MM300's twice before and recently got the black dial 023 model. I like it more than the older versions and am quite happy with mine. I bought mine from Higuchi in Japan, online; who I have purchased many watches from in the past. He had the best deal and it shipped very quickly. I have ...

Congrats, You will like it. I have liked mine quite a lot since getting it about a year ago. It is a very comfortable watch to wear. By the way that blue leather strap thing under the GMT in the earlier post is horrible. https://photos.smugmug.com/Rolex-Watch/i-zTVfSTb/0/69081946/X3/20190507_160901%...
