Re: Jason Heaton - Depth Charge, just released!

Got it via Kindle and read it on flights last week. I enjoyed Depth Charge and enjoyed this too. Pretty impressive he’s done this basically all on his own. Looking forward to seeing the character and writing develop more in future novels.

Traveling again. LaGuardia [emoji2961]. Thank goodness for the Delta lounge. Did just watch a float plane take off. Image

Anyone ever tried one of the Frogsquad straps that this watch comes with? Been watching him on IG since he started. They look like a slightly more robust version of an Erika’s.

Re: Ares Watches

I’ve got one of the original ones you sold Hop. Bezel came off when my 3 year old was turning it at bed time about 2 weeks after I got it. Popped it back on and it’s been fine since. Love the design, the way it wears, and the lume. To be honest though the bezel action is super tight and hard to turn...

Those rally tropic straps look pretty sweet too. Looks like a rounded lug end too.

Tom thanks for posting this! I love baseball and am a die hard Braves fan. Watching them right now actually. May have to pick this up. Hammerin’ Hank was a great ball player, but an even better person.

I love living vicariously through you. You turn your entire collection over in the same time frame it takes me to decide on whether I want to buy a rubber strap [emoji1787]. What are your impressions on the SBDX? I’ve come really close to picking on that one a few times. Sent from my iPhone using Ta...

Re: Chronosport Sea Quartz Re-Pop…

I got min yesterday…. DOA. Crown is shit. Turn it left (counter) tightens it. Turn it right and it just clicks and the date wiggles. Haven’t had a new watch delivery so disappointing since my Ares special order that basically had the same sort of crown issue. I know even Sinn has shipped some duds ...

Yup. Kinda love these. And 300 m? Perfect fun summer watch. Be interested to see where they end up from a discounting/secondary market perspective.

Re: Update: 1680 running very / extremely fast?

Have you tried banging on a table a few times? Ha! Should probably try that on the Scurfa my son whacked with his baseball bat. A hit screwed it up, no reason another good whack couldn’t right it. Hell, that’s how you used to get the ol’ console TV working again [emoji1787]. Sent from my iPhone usi...

Thanks for all the responses guys, been a brutal work week just jumping back on DWC. - Don - thanks. Actually bought the Lum-Tec at their “show room” in Ohio when I was traveling through for work. Great guys. Planning on emailing Paul just to see what he says. And I love the Ares, but there has defi...

Servicing a Scurfa (and in general, other “affordables”

So, while working with my 9 year old on his baseball swing my MS 21 Scurfa Diver 1 took a fairly significant whack from the knob of his bat. I was sure the crystal would be smashed when I looked down. It wasn’t. Good news is he made some significant strides during that lesson and he’s hit really wel...

Or, as an alternative is the Breitling Spatiogrpahie…. Think of it as a Navitimer with a “digital” minute counter. Re: Non-Watch People Wearing WIS Watches

When I was in the recovery room after my first colonoscopy, the nurse asked me if I was a Tennessee fan because I was wearing an orange faced watch. It was my Doxa DWL Pro. She then ordered me to fart. OMG I get my first colonoscopy on the 24th  Enjoy the ride. [emoji16] Trust me, the proced...

Re: Chronosport Sea Quartz Re-Pop…

It looks cool but I expect it won’t compare well to my Scurfas quality wise. Not a fan of the bracelet on it, looks dated and look like an older gentleman watch. I’m not young and don’t need a watch to age me further [emoji16] You’re probably right on the quality, especially after watching Don’s re...

Re: Looking For opinions On The Nezumi Voiture Chronograph

Hey Matt here you go….. I like it. Seems to be well made and the colors are great. Lume is there but pretty weak. It is almost illegible though in terms of telling the time. I’ve got to get my wrist at just the right angle to create enough contrast to be able to see the hands. Doesn’t find its way o...
