Re: the exit watch
If I ever find (and have money for) a Rolex 16750 Pepsi matte dial AND a Rolex Daytona 116500LN then I'm out. Those will be my next two purchases and my last two purchases. It's a fun hobby but at some point you have to ... wind down.

People really think this is a hoax? Well I guess you can test it with your lives. I'll be at home with bourbon. Plenty of shit to get done around the house. See you in May.

Been knocked out for around a month with sinus infection + bronchitis + flu. Finally went to the doc at the wife's insistence and got steroids and antibiotics. Feeling somewhat human again.

Re: Antiques Road Show Features Man Who Bought Rolex Oyster Paul Newman For $345.97 In The Early 70s And Never Wore It
I'd sell it for sure. I'd buy a 116500LN and have zero guilt. I think this story is kind of odd for a coupe reasons. 1) this guy bought a really nice watch (one months pay at the time) and said he didn't want to wear it so he stuck it in a safe deposit box and left it. Who does that? It's an odd mov...

Re: Gift Ideas for my 40th...
I always wanted a birth year 16750 Pepsi, but for whatever reason finding a birth year has been difficult. Not sure why a birth year appeals to me so much because I actually like the 1675 better... Something about the patina a watch gets in the same number of years as I've been here makes me feel be...

Re: Discoloration on Pelagos bezel?
Maybe in 50 years you can sell it for a premium due to the creamy patina? Kidding aside it does look yellow/stained. Honestly though, if you plan on keeping it and it doesn't drive you nuts, maybe enjoy the Wabi?

Re: 1680 Red Sub
My opinion is think hard about spending $20K on a watch that I think is worth a third of that and will likely be $10K in 1-2 years. Or spending $38,800 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=713296 Hasn't sold yet... Asking price isn't selling price. I get your point though. I sure hope price...

Nice. I grab for the speedy more often than almost any other watch I own. It's odd, the piece can look super elegant, but it's got no problem looking rugged as well. I absolutely love it. Well done.

Didn't want to shit on your for sale post. I'm curious what's the difference between T and No-T? Is it case thickness? Are No-T's significantly older? I looked on the porn machine and couldn't find an answer

I like the smaller size of vintage pieces. I'm not a big fan of huge watches. Glad I never bought that Panerai a few years back

The X is always bad. However, on these particular watches the X is very, very, very bad.
