Re: rolex deepsea ....
The largest rolex to date, and IMO what they should look like. the only complaint is the bracelet, which seems too small for the watch head. My guess, they will redesign/upgrade it in next couple of years.

Re: Valentine watch for the wife
not to over-generalize....
Women are more fashion conscious so they need watches that match. (think shoes) therefore, they need many watches, and in different colors, so they dont want to spend as much money on them...it is a fashion accessory, not a cool tool
so I am told

Re: ORIS GREAT BARRIER REEF TIMEPIECE
The Oris diver is a great watch. They are big. they come out with a new version every year it seems..playing the limited game.
they have had both SS and Ti in this model. I have had both. the ti is nice as it is not too heavy.
Keep in mind the resale is not great....fwiw

Yeah, i think Breitling is becoming overpriced, especially when you consider most are ETA movement based....and already over priced. Nice marketing company though.

Re: Steps To Complete A Proper Trade?
Check references
Get name and address (will need this to do the trade anyways)-make sure it is not a PO box
Phone number-Talk to the other guy
actually check his references out
There is always a leap of faith if trade is not local

Re: how do you guys take good pictures of your watches?
Depends on intent. For posting to a site, i have had luck with Digital point and shoot with a MACRO setting. no flash. Lighting is critical!!!! cant stress that enough. I use a combo of LED and the spiral florescent lighting. Avoid reflection. Dont use camera flash ...ever! You can make a cheap and ...

Teaching a old seal a new trick..
about three years ago i talked to Michael at Kobold (back when he would talk to us lowly customers) and proposed he teach the Seal a new trick. many of us actual divers would like a yellow and orange dial version. He said he would consider it....apparently he did not like the idea as still no color....
