Sinn 403 Diver Professional

Post by kempoman » Tue Dec 03, 2019 5:22 pm

New to me 403. Before owning her numerical dial appears a cheap citizen dial face to me. But, I still decided to give it a go. Once she arrives my opinion changes.
It's easier to tell time with my weary eyes and her right hand crown not pressing on forearm like an EZM2. The shortcomings are both tiny time etching with brushed surface on bezel to be hard to see during diving. I notice the bezel improvement for EZM2.
This one is without oil but i also understand that Sinn will not oil fill the case if we request.

I’m sure Sinn would sell an EZM2 black bezel and it could swap right on. No?

I think they will but i also own a EZM2 so it does not really bother me. I will keep her original bezel.

It’s a cool and unique piece of Sinn history.

Why wouldn't Sinn fill it up with oil?

I think he’s trying to say that if you request it not be oil filled, they’ll leave it unfilled.

If not, I think you can get Seth to fill it with some 90wt gear oil.
