Saw someone posted this elsewhere. Not news for most of you but still pretty neat.
It's missing a few brands such as Sinn, Oris, and others. But it's a pretty good picture of who owns who. I personally didn't know Fossil owns so many "mall" watches.

It is missing Sinn and Oris because they are independent companies. Not many of those left in the watch industry.

Cool. Odd that it doesn't show the Movado Group as well. Not sure what they're up to these days, but not that long ago, Movado produced some pretty nice mechanical watches along with Concord and Ebel. And of course there's the fashion crap - Hilfiger, Coach, Hugo Boss,etc...

Right, they tried to list a few independents like AP and PP at the bottom but missed a bunch like Sinn and Oris

Interesting Richemont snapped up Watchfinder recently. The UK,s biggest second hand watch dealer. I suppose with a turnover of 68 million it’s a worthy acquisition...

I had no idea that Citizen owned Alpina. Then again, I never really thought about it.

It is wrong about Tudor being owned by Rolex. I believe they are both sister companies owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation.

For some reason I thought Citizen and Seiko were recently connected (not sure who owned who as they're both giants) but then remembered it was the recent Bulova acquisition I was mixing up.

It has been said the parent of Seiko and Citizen is connected some how.

I have never heard of a Seiko/Citizen connection. Seiko Epson does own Orient.

And this is the reason the majority of my non micros are Seiko and Rolex >> They are their own company. Completely self-reliant.
They don't need no stinking ETA movements. Rolex even makes its' own gold.
I also have a soft spot for Muhle Glashutte. Independent, family run company that still uses Fricker cases.

I thought Movado was a Bulova series but nope it looks like Movado is its own company.
