Gotta size it still, man the screws are tiny. The finishing does look outrageously meticulous for sure. I'll post better pics when I have time to size etc.
Gratuitous toilet shot.

Re: Sbge001 arrived
looks like a screw at each end and then perhaps a stem in the middle? I haven't started to F with it yet.

Congrats. That's a beauty.

It's same sizing system as newer Omega (like your Aqua Terra GMT).

That is one fine looking GMT.

Re: Sbge001 arrived
thx guys, i must say much diff in person than pics...the black bezel sort of disappears in certain light and looks silver versus black...Also the 12,3,6,9 markers are crazy up close. Almost like stripes etched across them making a rainbow effect. Cant even capture that in pics, maybe tomorrow when its light out ill try. The finish is perhaps the nicest of any watch i own or have handled. afraid to make this statement but damn if the finishing isn't up there with the APs i have handled. Damn that sweep hand is mesmerizing. Im curious to throw a strap on this thing at some point to see what that could look like. The winding of the watch feels strange too unlike any other movement i have had....hard to explain but an interesting feel in the hand when turning the crown. ..Paul or others who own it maybe can better articulate it. Also i thought the power reserve was full when it was actually near empty as i didn't realize full is at the lower portion of the arc and empty at the top part of the arc...
Very comfy on wrist so far. Only cons is less than stellar packaging for a $5,500 watch. Sort of cheap, although the rice paper type deal is pretty cool inside.

Hate to concede to the overall perceived value compared to the finish of AP? Embrace it!
Congrats! It looks great. Still thinking of this one heavily but my only Rolex would have to go and I may not be ready for that. Love the GS diver but am thinking one SD is enough in the collection.

I know what you mean about turning the crown...almost a feeling like you can feel the gears turning.
But aside from the super short crown, I've got nothing to complain about. virtually everything else I own lasts a day on the wrist, but I can wear this for days on end and feel quite content.

Beautiful!
Re: Grand Seiko SBGE001 arrived...very nice!
That's a good description. The crown is actually short in front due to case shape. Around back its actually pretty big looking.4pfrench wrote:I know what you mean about turning the crown...almost a feeling like you can feel the gears turning.
