Box and Links
Hey guys, I wanted to post a pic of my current box and point out - in the bottom center - a cool gift The Skirt gave me for our anniversary; cufflinks made from Benrus watch movements. Now I need to get a shirt I can wear them with!

Re: Box and Links
Those are going to look pretty silly on a Bremont t-shirt.
Nice collection, btw.

Re: Box and Links
love those cuff links, I don't have a shirt to wear them with , and probably never will, but would still display them and stare at them
Superb watches, too

First off Tony, Happy Anniversary !!! What an incredible gift ! Guess those
are actually from vintage Benrus watches right? ..Pretty amazing, and extremely
thoughtful too. Wow, they look so cool there in between all of those watches sir.
Speaking of those watches ! Awesome how you actually have hit on all the genres
of watches. From the comfortable, and sporty, to the ultra cool, and classic !!!
It's perfect really ! ..So neat to see. Congratulations on all fronts here !

Cool cuff links. I see that you have a Movado Gentry pointer date. Used to sell those back in the day. Haven't seen one in years. Very nice collection BTW.

Re: Box and Links
Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Kelly – Great idea! I hadn’t thought of that.
Mark – I’ll be sure to bring them along to the GTG; unfortunately I won’t have the Rolex with me – it’s a long story I’ll post up once it’s over, but my Sub is currently on it’s way to Rolex for refinishing.
Tom – Thanks for your usual kind words! I’m pretty happy with this collection, though I’ll probably sell the Seiko in my ongoing quest to pay The Skirt back the $ she loaned me for the Rolex. I really should have put the Bremont on its leather strap where it belongs before taking this pic – this would have rounded out the “well rounded collection” quality you kindly mentioned!
Steve – the Movado is an ESQ model 87-06-885 I inherited when my Dad died. I seldom wear it as it’s just 40mm and really just a cheap quartz, but it has sentimental value for me.
Thanks again!

Re: Box and Links
So, it's an early version. What is today the ESQ brand, started as a series of dressier, more traditional watches within the Movado line up. When ESQ was launched as a separate brand, the Movados were renamed the Gentry. Because it was your dad's, I'd say it's priceless.AntonioPD wrote:Steve – the Movado is an ESQ model 87-06-885 I inherited when my Dad died.
