Bergeon Bezel Removal tool
Bergeon Bezel Removal tool
Just picked this up today from my local watch parts and tool supply store after waiting a month for it to arrive from France due to back order.
I got this to make life easier when doing bezel swaps on my Kalmar v2. I tried it tonight and holy shit it works superbly ! No more tenderized/mangled finger tips and this tool removes it in seconds without damaging the bezel or case.
Effortless removal !! Popped off instantly!
The tapered edge on the bottom of the yellow ring actually wedges itself in between the bezel and case so when you squeeze and twist the pressure creates the lift on the bezel at the same time as you turn it and bam! Instant removal with no chance of damage
Voila new bezel in under a minute
And back to the other one

Did you get the set or just the 42mm? I looked up some of the prices and these puppies weren't cheap!

Bergeon Bezel Removal tool
I like it. The concept of the prying of bezels always concerned me.

No just this one. They do sell this in a set also, but this one is able to remove bezels from 40-47 from what I've been told. So it's the prefect middle ground. The complete set is too much $$
The omega one (which what I really wanted) is almost $1k for the kit.
Re: Bergeon Bezel Removal tool
I modded my buddies Sumo once and have moved a few bezels here and there myself...
Problem with removing bezels is the initial learning curve and feel for it which changes from model to model. You can go into the project with confidence after reading about how 9 of 10 bezels pop right off, and there you are faced with 1 of 10 90% of the time.
Seems like a great tool for the frequent modder.

Price and link ?
Re: Bergeon Bezel Removal tool
It looks like a great device. Problem is, there are some here who would use it in a way it wasn't designed for.
No, it's not Tourettes.

I have no need for a kit of 3 of them, but I'd be down for the tool you have.

Neat way to avoid any marks when changing bezels; great shots, too.

Oh neat Danny ! Have seen these before, and always wondered how
they worked exactly. So cool to see, and hear that you got one. ..Looks
like they really do the job, and make it so much easier changing those bezels.
You'll be able to be changing it up even more now.
Going to be great Danny !!! Thanks for the lesson by the way. Fantastic get !
Big congrats there !

Great post and pics - thanks!
As for alternate uses, just remember this tool is designed to "pop something off."

Re: Bergeon Bezel Removal tool
Cool. I've always found that a guitar pick does the job perfectly, but I could see how that could work nicely on a more-difficult-to-remove bezel. Plus it looks like a quality tool.

Man Danny that is really nice, but I'm betting it was pretty darn expensive! Does the set just have different plastic inserts?

$275? Whoa. I'll just leave my bezels alone.

Re: Bergeon Bezel Removal tool
This is the only bezel remover I did not get to try out at my watchmakers, he has ever other one, we were working on improving the bezels on my watches and it's typical that this bugger was the only one that takes the bezels off without marking the watches
I couldn't buy the Bergeon one anywhere as they were sold out, I'm sure it would do the same job as the omega one congratulations on finding one
