Crazy new rubber straps
I'm torn are these cool or Fuckin stupid?
I'm guessing other watches could be done as well... it does protect against pin failure I guess.

I really like the idea... the execution not so much. Kind of cheapens the look of the PAM in my opinion.
The black might look better than the yellow though

Fuckin' stupid.
Re: Crazy new rubber straps
trying to turn your pam into a swatch.
Re: Crazy new rubber straps
Probably comfortable, and would definitely protect the watch if you like to wear it in the ocean, but terrible to look at.

Oooo that's not right.
Re: Crazy new rubber straps
I would have to agree with the others. Cheapens the watch. Way too much rubber and has a Swatch vibe.
Re: Crazy new rubber straps
Mostly seems to protect the watch from your wrist as the outer edges are all still unprotected.

Re: Crazy new rubber straps
I totally get the "cool or stupid" as I'm hovering between the two. Maybe the black one wouldn't look too bad?

Re: Crazy new rubber straps
Looks stupid. If you want to protect the watch from loss in the ocean wear a $15 Nato.
Re: Crazy new rubber straps
I think BP makes something like that for their large Ti FF

Looks like a knock off of Ted Su's Concept Rubber. I think he was charging about $300....

I prefer the original.

Re: Crazy new rubber straps
It has it's function. This is a specialized piece and probably mainly for diving or any other water sport. I'd buy it for function. Doesn't look that bad. It could be worse.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.
Re: Crazy new rubber straps
I guess if it were on a Michael Kors watch it might be cool.
On a Panerai? Fuckin stupid.
Having said that, I wear $20 NATOs on my Rolex, so there's no accounting for taste I guess.

Re: Crazy new rubber straps
You could probably count the number of people who dive with a Panerai on one hand - and you probably wouldn't need your thumb Seems like a solution looking for a problem.
Re: Crazy new rubber straps
I don't know but I want the 25 in the pic - the patina is perfect - so hot...

I think it looks dumb, but getting past the look, I believe a giant piece of rubber would be hella uncomfortable

Re: Crazy new rubber straps
I just have 1 question, do you have to take it off that contraption just to set time and wind manual version of Pam?
