CD1 and CD2 bonding

Post by toxicavenger » Wed May 13, 2015 7:18 pm

Hard to believe how little things make these watches totally different person. Here are the differences:

Wider dial on CD1, so date window is farther in.
Wider hour markers on CD1.
The SS bezel on the CD1 has a dark gray tint to it (maybe the Kolsterising process did this).
Gloss black dial on the CD1.
More lug room between the case and bars (1.5 mm's I think) on the CD1.
Hex key lug bars on the CD1.
13mm case on the CD1.

Like I said the CD2 is amazing in it's own right, but the CD1 is a beautiful next generation of it.

You've surpassed Mark as AEgir's biggest fanboy

Great comparison shots. The differences between the two are very similar to the h20 orca and new Kalmar v2.

The CD1 being the more mature of the 2 and clean looking. And the CD2 being the robust tough tool.

Great pair. I've been tempted a few times to grab a white dial cd1. I love the handset design especially.

Can't ask for a better pair. Congrats and enjoy em.

I hadn't realized that they were that different. Both look amazing.

You're rolling T-Bone!

I've got Rob's white CD-1 inbound. Will be watching it closely to make sure it doesn't violate my U1 on the winder. I hear these Aegir's can be very aggressive.....

Congrats Terry, two awesome watches.
I'm a big fan of the CD-1. Great side and proportions.
