Seamaster 300 added to the Omega website
Re: Seamaster 300 added to the Omega website
I had the opportunity to try one on at an Omega boutique, and while I still want one, it lost some of its luster. My issue is with the large amount of polished real estate on the case and the bracelet. I'm not anti pcl by any means, but overall wayyyy to polished. Dial/ handset , bezel, adjustable clasp, size/wearability are spot on for me. Personally, I love the stacked profile; it enhances that vintage feel IMO.

I'm not opposed to the stacked construction. I just think it's going to be an individual fit issue. If you're lean it'll stand high. If your pudgy it'll sink in and appear flat, no? At least that's what I found when I tried on a new Speedy.
Overall I think it's a winner. Polished surfaces aside.

Is that a pic of your wrist? If so what size is your wrist? I am thinking of getting a seamaster 300 co axial. Thanks in advance

I actually didn't mind the PCLs but most didn't like them. I had he blue titanium one and took a beating when I sold it although, I really liked the watch.DAVIDSWdan wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2014 6:46 pmWhat do you guys think about the PCL's? We've gotten mixed reviews but most tend to not like them.

Peter & I tried on the limited edition version on Saturday. It wears smaller than the regular one. 19mm lug width though. Lovely watch.

^^^ That one fixes the worst aspect of the regular version - the huge ugly shiny end links. At least now the too big center link articulates and only looks stupid when you rotate your wrist. Unfortunately, it includes a stargate bezel to keep the overall suckage unchanged.

Leave it to Jacob to instantly deflate any thoughts I had about that watch in a single sentence.
I’ll never be able to look at that watch again without thinking “stargate bezel”!
