I'm not saying North Korea is a Boy Scout Camp - I am trying not to picture Kim Jung Un in a Scout Leader outfit, however it would be better to put the proper label on the sanctions NK got. Call them out for what they actually do...to their own citizens, not for what they didn't do...simply for convenience sake. And as Terry pointed out, and for something we routinely do under the auspices of National Security.

All of these things are easy to rationalize since we have been the big dog at the trough since 1945 - which has been the adult lives of everyone here reading this. None of us has known a time where this country was not in control of it's own destiny.

If we were living in another country - say a less affluent one, we might view these things a little differently. If there ever comes a time where someone can actually levy such charges or sanctions against the US, we will surely see things in a whole 'nuther light.

 That would be funny...if I didn't still have kids I had to train to shoot.

Have you all seen the "open letter" from Ayatollah Khamenei to Western youth? Very interesting, and subtle. He encourages them to read the Quran. “Have you studied the teachings of the Prophet of Islam and his humane, ethical doctrines? Have you ever received the message of Islam from any sources other than the media?”

He's right but at the same time we have youth who think they hear satanic messages in music telling them to kill their parents. Without proper guidance, they can read things into Islam that were not intended but that fit their current needs or situation. Christians have done this with both the Old and New Testaments. Ayman al-Zawahiri did it and he is the one that radicalized OBL. al-Zawahiri decided that an individual muslim had the authority of takfir, to declare anyone, even another muslim, as a kafir...an apostate. Most muslims do not belive this. But for the radicals, now under their interpretation of Islam, it was no longer a sin to kill other muslims. Very convenient, but that's what a few years of torture in an Egyptian prison will do to you.

This is what Psyops looks like. Very clever.

It's not the fundamentalists I fear at this time. We can manage that. It's the steady growth of the Muslim population that will eventually become dominant. Worldwide Shariah is not a far fetched idea.

I read an article yesterday that stated their population in Russia is now 1/6th of the total. Putin has a bigger problem than we do. Or France.
