Terry's idea of getting it pc'd or bead blasted is probably as good as you're going to get. I think it would look great with a natural finish.

I like the look of the anthracite barrel, not going to change that.JP Chestnut wrote:Terry's idea of getting it pc'd or bead blasted is probably as good as you're going to get. I think it would look great with a natural finish.

Are they calling the "case" a "barrel"? Have I cracked the code?

Re: Stuff like this used to make me wacky
It's more a modular mid-case, I think - I'm not sure it's structural though. If not, it's a case sleeve.moishlashen wrote:Are they calling the "case" a "barrel"? Have I cracked the code?
Re: Stuff like this used to make me wacky
It's a sleeve. Goes over the case very simply. Couple screws and anyone can swap out.

Re: Stuff like this used to make me wacky
I like it but I think it would bother me over time if the discoloration became very noticeable. I don't know if I'd pay $250 either to resolve the problem for a new barrel.

The SM and Alt barrels are DLC'd steel, which is why they wear harder.ericf4 wrote:ive only seen the MB2 barrels do this, not the SM, the Alt series etc....I totally think its due to the surface of the barrel being that cool texture...
