What is your perfect size watch?

Post by jcoat007 » Fri Jul 23, 2010 3:45 pm

After much trial and error I have finally figured out that I like 44-46mm watches. What is your perfect size or range?

I really prefer to stay in the 38-42mm range with 40 being the sweet spot.

I voted for 42MM but 40-44MM as long as the all important
lug to lug length is 50-51MM or less...

Wish watch companies would include the lug to lug length
for the specs of their watches.

although im wearing my 47mm Pam homage, i think my perfect size is 36mm-42mm, although with the manerai style, i love my 44mm and 47mm.

Lately ive been wearing only my 36-40mm watches.

I picked 43mm specifically, but anything from 39mm (NOMOS) to 46mm (Trimix) will work for me depending on the watch. :ugeek:

+1 - got an old Elgin Shockmaster that's easily under 39mm, but never wear it anymore, though. And I loved my Trimix but it wouldn't fit under a shirt cuff and I needed a sacrificial piece when the kontiki showed up. "Depending on the watch" is the key here. ;)

I picked 44 as that's the sweet spot but I go from 40mm to 48mm if I look at the box.

38-42 for me.
I'm trying to get rid of the larger ones.
I'll still wear watches smaller than 38mm.

Generally between 42mm and 44 mm, my wrist is 8 1/4". However I don't mind 39 mm watches (Seiko SARB/Spirit) it seems that generally they go like this:

39-40mm for dress watches
42-44 mm for pilot/military (Archimede, Glycine Combat)
44mm for divers

I picked 40mm-42mm. I have some that are 44mm and 46mm but the 46mm is pushing it for me with my huge 6.5" wrists.

I'm most happy with 45-49mm with lug to lug at 55-60mm.

40-44, and yes lug to lug is more important to me too.

I believe 44 is perfect. However, 42 is starting to grow on me.

42-44 is ideal. I'm starting to think anything bigger than 44 is too large even on my 8 inch wrist. Its personal preference, but we've all seen people pushing the envelope.

42 - 44 here.

I'll wear 40 and I can carry 45, but that's it. No smaller, bigger is too heavy, generally.
