Hey Paul when I had a supermarine and removed the bracelet I recall using 2 spring bar removal tools at the same time ( i.e. one on each side) to get it loose. The trick was having a third hand to hold the case in place :banghead:

$110 cheaper than the Bergeon.

I hate spending that much money on such a specific tool, but when you need one, they're worth it.

Are you opening the clasp? If so, tape up the lugs, and get someone to hold the watch head with one hand and lift up the end link with the other (while you compress both springs). If that doesn't work, it's time to pay someone.

When I have an issue like this I usually push up on the end link while removing the bar ends one at a time. This assumes I'm holding the watch upside down. The upward pressure helps keep the bar end dislodged while I do the other tip, then it slides out.

Good advice, Hop.

If you haven't, free the bracelet from the clasp. Makes it way easier to work.

believe me dude, i bought the pliers....doesnt work on that watch...use a single spring bar tool one side 9push up on that side of the end link when bar is unseated while you work on the opposite side of that end link....Its a bitch.....getting it back on is way easier than getting it off
