Rolex Advice Please

Post by MDF » Tue Jul 08, 2014 3:23 pm

So, I'm lucky enough to just about be in position to purchase a Sub-C ND. Could someone please PM me some trusted buyers you have used before and also any advice would be much appreciated as in "pay the extra money to have a blank warranty card" or it's worth it to buy a brand new with plastics in place ND Sub etc. I am 99% sure this will be a long term keeper and it should be for what I sacrificed for it, damn this hobby is getting expensive. Thanks for your help everyone - this will be my first Rolex!! :fro:
Regards,

Mark

Wu linked me up with an AD and I chose to pay the extra cost (over a used price) to have papers and warranty card, etc. in my name.

It was my first Rolex and will be an heirloom piece for me so I wanted to make sure I could pass down the complete package as the sole owner.

Good luck!

There's a few people around here I would turn to just off the top of my head:

Wu
Zack
Mark.

Both due to volume and connections :)

Trusted Seller = DavidSW (on TRF)

I bought my SubC, Pelagos and THC from him. Good pricing and quick shipping (next day).

Go get it... http://www.watchrecon.com/?query=submar ... me=davidsw

Can't help with an suggestions on where to get it. However, I would suggest that you never travel or leave your house for that matter.

DavidSW had a BNIB no date listed pretty recently. He's a top notch seller.

I was thinking DavidSW also but just wanted to ask the professionals. So I think he has one for $500 more than another one he has, I'm thinking one is sealed or has blank papers etc. or maybe the "cheaper" one has been worn lightly.

Takuya is awesome and the lowest I've seen for for a BNIB SubC ND. And it'll be in your name with USA warranty/AD

DavidSW is great too but he is consistently higher than Takuya.

I've purchased Rolexes from justrolexes (TRF), DavidSW (TRF) and red1108nyc (TRF), all great sellers in my experience, but you really can't go wrong buying from the guys on DWC. If someone was selling bullshit I feel safe in saying they wouldn't be here long.

It all depends on what you are looking for. His descriptions are true. So if one is excellent and one is brand new for $500 more, my money would go for the excellent one...just me though. My Pelagos was BNIB and there is something to say that you made every scratch and ding in a watch too...so it's really up to what you are looking for.

Than (Takuya) is great. I bought my exp2 from him and called him when I was searching for an AP. he's great to work with and sometimes has stuff that isn't listed. Congrats.

Thanh Do is local to me and is a great guy and I've done two deals with David Williams (incl trading my DSSD for the AP ROC I got today) and everything was super smooth. Can't go wrong either way. Drster/Mark Tannenbaum is great also if he has one available - I would go ahead and do a BNIB piece since it seems like this would be a keeper for you. I bought both my BLNR and SD4000 BNIB as I'd like to have my name on the papers for sentimental reasons because I know they're both keepers.

Can't go wrong with these three, and I echo that an Excellent from DavidSW will likely look like it has never been worn.

I did a f2f with Tony (justrolexes) for my DSSD. Wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.

Thanh Do (Takuya) and justrolexes (Tony) are both great to work with. More experience with Tony being he's in So. Cal and we've done several face to face deals.
