Bremont ALT-1C on special NATO

Post by FlyPenFly » Fri Apr 18, 2014 7:20 am

Mike Pearson, all around nice guy and awesome dude was kind enough to gift me a personal strap at the last Red Bar event.

I believe this is a NATO that comes from some of the special edition watches and is not available on the online boutique at least. Please correct me if I'm wrong. It's the most comfortable strap I've ever worn NATO or not NATO. I generally prefer the normal stock strap that comes with the ALT-1C but I'll be sporting this NATO for quite some time.

great set up, the strap really works beautifully with the ALT1-C. I like the embossed propellers.

Looks like the Hambleden straps, but this one may be a precurser/prototype????

I think the Hambleden straps are a bit thinner and of a different glossy finish.

Nice! How's the thickness work on the watch? Bremont cases tend to be pretty thick, especially on the caseback side. NATO never really worked on my wrist personally. Looks great though.

Very nice. I don't think anything could make that watch look bad.

Looks great!
I'm all about leather nato/Zulus nowadays.
It combines the comfort and lightness of a nato and a look of leather.

Not nearly as bad as I thought or maybe I've just gotten much fatter?

I also noticed with the S2000 that it wears really well for such a tall watch. I think it might have something to do with the strap as well. The original super hard rubber strap with my S500 and Descent gave me several open wounds, it never really wrapped around the wrist correctly. On the newer rubber straps with more silicone, it's much more comfortable and conforms to your biomass.

That looks great and a nice gesture. I really enjoyed Mike's passion for the brand and found him to be a genuinely nice guy.

Great looking strap, just it would make the watch wear like a 19mm for me.

He only gave you that strap because he knew you'd take badass pics of it... Really itching for a Bremont!
