SAS new rubber strap (thread title revised)

Post by mattcantwin » Tue Jul 09, 2013 2:22 pm

The strap arrived today, thanks Graeme!

I was lucky enough to try on Chris's before ordering and was very impressed with the design and fit.

I can't imagine anyone who purchased the strap not being very pleased.

I thought we could post pictures of the strap on various watches in one thread.

Unfortunately, I will need a while to find a break in the action to post my picture.

(this means I need to find time to take a picture when my wife is not around)

Meanwhile, I am looking forward to posts that actually have pictures, that follow.

What's that, you got a strap on?

Got mine today. It's tremendous, very refined in appearance, and I love the taper. Unfortunately, after about half an hour of struggling, I've resigned myself to the fact that it's not anything I'll ever get mounted on my FF--it's just ever so slightly too thick at the lug ends for the tight clearance of the FF, and I can't get the screw bars to go through :scream:

I got mine as well....great strap, unfortunately didn't work out well on the Seiko since it made the fit somewhat awkward on my wrist. Fits great on the 233 and feel awesome on the wrist, but I'm not sure I dig the look on it. Just gonna have to buy me an SAS for it
Yep, I need a 24mm-lugged watch for this strap, a killer khaki canvas strap you made me for my old 243, and a bunch of other great 24mm straps I've got.

Got mine too! I like everything about it, but it's too stiff toward the top half for my twig wrists. So it doesn't wrap around my wrist well. I think it would work well if I use the boiling water + mug trick.

Side view. Love the thickness at the lugs and how it thins out just right towards the opposite ends
A very very nice strap well thought out.

It works better than the Panerai OEM, on my wrist anyway.

When I get a few minutes and go get the strap from the truck, I will see how it looks.
