Replacement NFL Officials
Holy Crap.
I was at last night's game in Baltimore... Holy Crap. The Tampa Bay game... Holy Crap. The SF game... WTF?
Across the league this is starting to get out of hand and will definitely affect some franchise's season outcome. This weekend's games were the worst yet.

Re: Replacement NFL Officials
It is getting pretty bad. The worst part is the coaches and players have no respect for the scabs so something terrible is bound to happen.

This. The refs need to grow a set of balls and not allow players/coaches to walk over them.

That game last night was an embarassment....These officials can't even spot the ball and they don't know the rules..
There has got to be a way to compromise...someone is going to get killed out there..

What happened in the Bucs game? I watched the whole thing and can't recall what you might be mentioning?
Unless you meant our offensive performance...in that case, yea it was bad.

I think it's almost a little humorous watching them. You feel a bit sorry for the guys... hahaha.

Loving RGIII. Not loving pretty much everything else about this team. And what the hell is wrong with the Shanahans, trying to get the first legit QB the Skins have had in decades killed before their first bye week?

He is just Bob. He hasn't earned a nickname yet.dukerules wrote:CGSshorty wrote:Nope, that is just because you are watching the Redskins. Bob is playing ok though.dukerules wrote:It's horrible. Making it hard to enjoy watching the games.

Pats coach grabbed one of the officials after the game. I think their making decent calls.
I'm tired of this BS game, its turned into a sport for pussies. Let the gorillas play and kill

Re: Replacement NFL Officials
Trust me, it was agonizing watching the officials during TV timeouts. While y'all were watching commercials trying to sell you feminine hygiene products and hybrid cars, I was watching officials go from sideline to sideline being browbeat by coaches, insulted along the way by players, and they would huddle in little groups trying to figure what the ruling should be...and then they would announce it...and then they would reverse themselves.jimyritz wrote:=====================hazmatman wrote: Holy Crap.

The total disrespect for the officiating crews is going to lead to something worse than a botched call. Look at how overtly physical the players are getting during the plays and after the whistle! Many hands-on fouls were legit but it's because they have no respect for the officials, then when a call goes against them, they get frustrated and the unnecessary roughness and unsportsman like conducts start popping.
People are going to get hurt. Team seasons are going to be torpedoed.
We know the regular refs will miss calls, but it's not with the frequency of these replacements. We also know a regular ref could make a call that could change the course and outcome of a game, but since they do tend to get 99% of the calls correct, that means: the player who held - got caught; the receiver who was out of bounds - didn't complete the reception; the kicker who shanks the kick - missed the FG...then the change to the game outcome rests on the action of the players not the officials - the officials are there simply to adjudicate when play reaches the edges of the rules, as it should be.
In Baltimore we did call the replacements out towards the end of the game...if you noticed the "BS Chant" after they called Coach Harbaugh for Unsportsman Like Conduct because he could not get an official to acknowledge he was trying to call a timeout and he walked on the field in frustration (as if no other coach has done that, Belicheck did it several times last night 'cause I know he was pissed as well). Coach Harbaugh is a standup dude. Family man. Christian. Straight up guy just trying to do his damn job.
The chant went on for a long time. The fans were major frustrated with last night officiating. You can't blame them and frankly, I usually stay out of that stuff 'cause it's juvenile but last night I was up there with them calling it what it was.
Bullshit.

Gotta feel sorry for the sub refs. I agree it's bull and the players - and now the coaches - are taking full advantage of these guys.

These refs are totally in over their heads. The NFL needs to get this sorted out ASAP.

I'm a Baylor guy from Waco, so I've been pleased with RG3's start. I assume the local buzz and media is loving him too?dukerules wrote:CGSshorty wrote:Nope, that is just because you are watching the Redskins. Bob is playing ok though.dukerules wrote:It's horrible.
