Yeah exactly. I've been wanting to try the 203 Arktis too. Love blue, and I keep hearing how gorgeous that shade is.

One of these days the collection will be perfect :).
=========

I'd like to try the 203 Arktis as well and maybe one of those UX SDR's/Special forces..

What about a U2?

I like my UX on bracelet a whole lot!! I'm a big fan of that bracelet. I loved my U1 too but prefer the hands of the UX.
I bought mine from a German AD.

The U212 is gorgeous and doesn't wear as large as Panerai 47mm.

I love the look of this, limited edition of 200 pieces, though it seems production has been delayed until 2013.

How about vintage this Sinn 142 D1 and the bracelet the same type I have on my Eterna with a spring loaded clasp that fit's great and the price not bad.The seller will even take it back if you don't like it you can't loose.

Now that you *and* Todd are pushing it, I don't know how I'll resist. What should I be paying for one on the used market with bracelet?
That's the answer. On bracelet it is killer.

One of the top two chronic on the market now (other is the poc9300).

There is an ezm1 on eBay now. Doesn't look bad.

BTW, I have nothing to do with that sale, I just remembered it when I saw this thread.

Mike's got the right idea. Try and find a nice older 142 with the lemania 1500.

And whenever it comes out, that new 140 is sweeeeeeeeeeet!

Have you ever tried a 103?

I think the 103 acrylic is a fantastic piece. There are dozens of other great Sinns out there of course.

I love Sinns, as long as I drag a cloth around to wipe the crystal when exposed outside the shirt sleeve. I gave up on them for that.

JizJizJiz wrote:I have a love it and hate it thing with Sinn. Love it n pictures, but never able to keep it for longer than a couple months. Have had the U1, U2, and U1000.

I'm itching for another one now. I like the bracelet, and I love the U watch classic red orange coloring. Any new models out I should be looking at other than the old trusty trio above?
U-series... meh. A bit sterile and HAL 9000 for me — I never really wear the U1 other than offshore. It's a good work watch for sure, but I have no affection for it. Same deal with the 856; kind of an appliance of a watch. It does work well for skiing and stuff, though. The slimness is nice under (or over) a jacket cuff.

Sinn was founded by a pilot; get one of their pilot's watches. I like the old-school ones. The acrylic 103 is pretty groovy, and I'm sure I've mentioned the 356, plus they have some chunky and funky ones like the 14X series. The Lemania ones are very cool. You gotta get a domed crystal for sure.

Forgive me, as some of these have been mentioned earlier. It's 7 am here and I'm about to crash out after tonight's funky party, so I kinda just skimmed.

To heck with diplomacy; it's late and I've enjoyed some fine drinks, so here's what I really think:

U-watches: cool in pictures, it's unlovable in real life. Flat sapphire Sinns really are like appliances; they work fine but you will never love them. Just like Seikos.

Acrylic and 5100-based Sinns are the only ones with any charm.

Fuggit, though; do you really give a crap about ETA stuff with so many dope watches in your collection? The only time I wear mine is when I don't want to mess up the good stuff, although I'm sentimental toward the 356 because it was the first half-decent watch I bought, and it still like the way it looks.

I'm Belligerent Ryan; tell me what you think!
