FINALLY!
It's taken three weeks but I FINALLY received my new Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope from Germany. The package was trapped in Customs for awhile and then USPS just took their sweet time delivering it. Picked it up at the Post Office an hour ago. Here's my "reveal."
This Junghans is a masterpiece in both design and execution. The vision was created back in the 1960s by famed Swiss designer/architect/artist Max Bill. Junghans of Germany recently brought the unique retro design to life in this vertical bi-compax eye-grabber powered by a 25 jewel Junghans-signed ETA 7750 movement. Although the nominal case diameter is 40mm, it appears much larger due to its very large dial and very narrow outside bezel. The chrono pushers are of proper retro design, as is the high-domed plexiglass crystal. The elegant hour and minute hands are lumed in a subtle manner.
Although most Max Bill Chronoscopes are fitted with high quality black leather straps, this example was ordered with the optional ($110.00) Junghans mesh bracelet, which is micro-adjustable to fit any size wrist. You might note that the Max Bill's lugs are quite short, which reduces the "open" space between the bracelet/strap and the case - - a nice touch!
By the way, this is one of those watches that looks even better in person than in photos! I love it.

That's really cool and has me thinking "art-deco".

Re: FINALLY!
Even though it's a 40, the dial is probably bigger than most 45s because of the extremely narrow bezel.patstarrx wrote:Love it to,.but how cool would it be in 45mm

Nie snag Tom. I've always liked those. It's also a great strap watch.

Damn!.... It's to die for. Did you get it directly from Junghans or an AD?

That is sexy. I would have scratched that shinny caseback taking it out of the box

Now that is nice! Perfect Modern design. Really like the pushers.
My other hobby. My 1954 Lincoln Capri Full Custom.
