EZM 3

Post by aikiman44 » Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:19 am

Picked up this nice EZM 3 from Juan and am very happy with it. It's got the look of the EZM 1 for a fraction of the price. Tech includes argon gas, an anti- humidity capsule and low temp oils. It wears very nicely for 40mm of steel. I swam with it and it's got good legibility in the water, which several divers do not. This could be a good workout watch as I don't often use chronos on the move.

The EZM 3 looks good on an Iso, I'll probably pick up the Sinn rubber and deployant to complete the package. Not sub steel or tegimented, though (ever explain that to a layman and watch their eyes glaze over?). Good lume for a Sinn, too.

So in the range of $1100 used, you can favorably compare the EZM 3 to several of the boutique divers out there. The argon gas, CuSo4 capsule and oils give Sinn the edge, tech-wise.

So Todd, if you ever want to flip one of those Ltd EZM 1's, you know where to find me.

I really like that one. Been thinking about it as a lighter alternative to the Seiko MM, which is great but just a bit to heavy for me for out at the lake.

Great pickup Jay.
Always loved the EZM3. They have a 'coolness' about them, and aren't nearly as plentiful out in WISdom as the ubiquitous U1.
(Which is also really cool, of course :shifty: )

Thanks, guys.
Now that the EZM bug has bit, I'm on the lookout for an EZM 1!

Get in line bud. I saw a pick of an EZM1 dipped in OxyClean, which gives the Ti a cool gray PVD look. Now I want one!

Great watch. The ezm3 wears great.

Had one thinking it could scratch the ezm1 itch. Well we know how that went.

The modified ezm1le was well done but took alot of guts. I actually owned that one #249 before the mod.

Seth, don't do it, at least until you get that thing pressure tested. OxyClean slides right past seals like a knife through hot butter.
