So post the pics of the goddam 4000t already. Yeah, plenty of us including me, have chided Doxa for this one but that doesn't mean it can't have its place or a review - and an honest one at that. Don't make me say please. :bird:

I think you're wasting your breath here, Brad. It looks to me like a Bill has taken his marbles and gone home.

Sigh.

I spoke to Bill off-line and it looks like this is for real, so perhaps we should all just pour one out for our fallen comrade and move along. It's a shame, because he's definitely one of the good guys, but hey, you've gotta do what you've gotta do, right?

Wow. Shocking move, Bill! I guess DWC is not for everyone. Sucks that it happened over a Doxa. Imagine... Mike would have left many times ago by now.

Actually, I do sort of get Doxa, though I'd never support the company, either directly with my hard earned money, or indirectly by wearing one of their watches (I like how they look -- that's it). My comment was inspired by a drive-by Bill pulled in the WUSsy Linde Werdelin forum a while back where he simply posted, "I don't get LW" in response to a thread comparing an Okto to a Sea-Dweller. Needless to say, some of the die-hard LW fans didn't appreciate such a blunt assessment of their beloved brand, which required a bit of hand-holding on my part until they could get over the slight.

Obviously, they're waaay too sensitive over there. ;)

So, in summary, Adam has bad taste in watches, but at least he's good-natured about it....

Truth is, watches are a personal expression. Perhaps a bit of skin thickening on one part, with a dash of "do unto others" on the other half is needed. There are many times I will look at a post and think "yuck". I guess the difference is that just because I "can" say something, doesn't mean I "should".

Respectfully,

Mike

I have always put myself and watches out there by posting mini-reviews etc. Lately I have been noticing a frat-house everything attitude. Thats fine I guess but this is (WAS) a watch forum for dive watches etc. Hell Pat is all over the site, but I don't remember 1 watch post.

Listen, this is no PMS post. I have done my time, but posting info and sharing with friends is what I want. The group think, everyone pile on, rubbed me the wrong way for awhile...<watchlords anyone> I'll just swing by your posts and sharp shoot your shirts and photos, all the while spewing my baseless opinions about watches I have never owned.

I'm not gone, just done throwing ammo out there.....

What is ridiculous was the blaze orange hunter safety fleece he was wearing in the Doxa pix. I think this all stems from his fashion faux paux, not his 4000T which is probably long gone. What ever. It was a good run Rick, take care.
