Helson Shark Diver with SS insert

Post by pbj204 » Sat Nov 21, 2020 11:07 am

I just received my 40mm Helson Shark Diver. I had custom ordered the yellow dial with a stainless steel insert. It typically comes with a black sapphire insert. While I do think the black looks nice, I tend to prefer stainless steel with colors. It was either this or the new Raven Trekker.

Standard design, with the black sapphire bezel insert.

The Helson looks very cool. I have been eyeing the 40mm myself, I keep telling myself to get one but never pulled the trigger. I think if they did a no date version I would get one.

How does it wear?

I've had the 38mm, 40mm, and 42mm. I find that the 40mm is the perfect size. The design gives it wrist presence, but it's only 12mm thick so it's not a bulky watch. It definitely wears better than most Seikos.

SS insert is the way to go on the yellow.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.
