Re: Aquastar!!
You may come out ahead, value-wise, but it is still a total pain to track down a trusted watchmaker, and then hope they can repair it, or get the right parts. You have an amazing collection, but you may also have much more patience than the average collector.
Re: Aquastar!!
Some did not like the price of this remake there are alternatives to the original at a fair price. The vintage Rotary Aquaplunge chronograph same case and movement as the original Aquastar diver chronograph just different dial and hands and the bezel a little different put one of these on a uncle tropic strap and your good to go at half the price. See scubawatch article on it below. there's more ways to get a better deal. Since some of you guys are new never herd of scubawatch check out the watches on his site and see the eye candy. And I mite covert you to vintage watches.

One off flebay has make offer so a little wiggle room to get the price down. Send to jack for touch up lume on hour marks and 1200 cheaper than remake. Same case and movement as the original

The more I look at this watch the more I really like it, but it's way too expensive... Not a chance!
Because of the price I'm more curious about the Benrus Type1 reissue.

That’s why you have to procure parts. I have enough parts to build my 6139 two times over and I still feel uneasytoxicavenger wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 6:23 pmtotally. no two ways about it.gonzomantis wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 8:21 amYou may come out ahead, value-wise, but it is still a total pain to track down a trusted watchmaker, and then hope they can repair it, or get the right parts.

Pretty generic looking but I like the color of the dial.
