Eterna Super Kontiki 1973 Heritage on blowout at Ashford
$799 plus there is a 10% coupon for an additional discount:

Really makes me wonder how many watches Eterna actually sells. This came out in 2010 and was limited to 1973 watches. 10 years later and they still didn't sell out the stock.
I've owned this one a few times. Really like it but too big for my wrists.

That is an amazing deal. So many of us bought this new at around 1400ish.....
And it’s still a great watch.

It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now

I came close, but bailed; available coupon took care of the tax.

That’s a heck of a deal!
I came close several times, but the hour hand always kept me from buying. Now I’m feeling weak.

heck, if Eterna had made these in the original 40mm size they could've sold 19,730 in a flash

If you have a Discover Card, you can get 5% cashback on PayPal purchases through the end of September. Considering how long these watches have been sitting around, I wonder if they need service.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 10:38 amI came close, but bailed; available coupon took care of the tax.
No, it's not Tourettes.

Wow, very tempting. I owned one briefly some years ago. Definitely an original design

Cushion style case wears nicely.

How does it compare to say a MM300 (if you can recall)?

Re: Eterna Super Kontiki 1973 Heritage on blowout at Ashford
I’d be curious to hear this as well. I’ll bet it wears visually larger as the MM300 hides its size very well due to the smaller dial.
I wanted one of these badly a while ago. Ironically, now that it is available for the price of a micro, I find myself a bit lukewarm to it.
Re: Eterna Super Kontiki 1973 Heritage on blowout at Ashford
In my experience it wore huge. Not so much the case size but the dial opening made it wear every bit a 44mm. It definitely looked bigger on the wrist and wore larger than the MM300. Quality piece but not for me. I've owned a couple vintage Eterna-Matic KonTiki's and they were perfect.

I've owned both but not at the same time. The MM300 definitely wore smaller on my wrist vs the Eterna.
Re: Eterna Super Kontiki 1973 Heritage on blowout at Ashford
I had one for years, around 7 actually. Gorgeous watch, but ultimately too big for my 7.25 wrist. L2L isn't too bad, but it is a monster, wears like a 44mm. Wish this was a 41-42 and I'd wear it for life!
Re: Eterna Super Kontiki 1973 Heritage on blowout at Ashford
OK - slept on it and pulled the trigger. Figure I wear a 43/44mm watches quite a bit in normal rotation anyway, plus getting such a legit diver at a micro price is hard to pass up.
Plus, rereading J’s review from years ago didn’t hurt.
I’ll post up some photos when it arrives. If it doesn’t stick, I’ll put it up here at the BoD price.

You will enjoy it. Looks great on most straps, too.
