Dave (Demo) Helped A Fellow DWC'er Out

Post by mattcantwin » Fri Jul 31, 2020 2:58 pm

I've lost track of how many watches I've bought as a direct result of Dave's pictures.

Dave recently posted a review, with pictures, of the San Martin SN027-T1.

Great looking profile, especially the flow of bezel to crystal.

I wrote Dave and asked if he could take a picture or two of the watch on brown leather straps.

Dave said he'd be happy to, but didn't have any brown leather straps.

So, I sent him some straps and he took some pictures.

Before I post them, I have the following disclaimer:

Sure, you can post on the forum. The only thing is they were really quick & crappy photos by my standards.
So please say I said "quick & crappy photos". Thanks.

Amazing how his "real" pictures are beyond comparison to these.

Thanks again, Dave; for helping me make a decision on the watch.

Dave is awesome for sure. I’ve bought at least a dozen watches after looking for google images of a watch I’m interested in and find his pics.

Wow this pic is gonna make it really hard to resist.

Thanks guys.... and thanks Matt.

I've been in the Dive watch world since 2006, and have been a fan long before that. I've seen a lot of guys come and go on the forums. It is really great to get to know fellow watch fans and make friends. Matt is one of the long time good guys on the forum and very happy to help out where I can.

Cheers.

Asking DEMO to take nice watch photos is like asking Charlie Sheen to hang out with hookers and do some blow.

Very well done, Dave.

The San Martin arrived yesterday, cool watch.

Dave was right, brown leather doesn't work well.

Starting off with a black Micah shark - that does work.

I see I will be struggling to take a decent shot, but here's a crappy one for now.
