Ridiculously Excited
Ridiculously Excited
So I had a great track day in in Exige Sport 380 on Wednesday - see highlights vid if you have a spare 20 mins & are interested

but I was occasionally getting heat soak power loss, which could if it happened at the wrong time, be dangerous. I certainly don't want to be driving round it. Now admittedly it was very hot on Wednesday, but I'm really getting to grips with the car (as I hope the vid shows) and so it's not likely to be a one off occurrence.
The guy next to me in the paddock had a modified Exige with a much bigger supercharger that has charge cooling & he very kindly let me drive for a session - the mad fool. Very impressed.
Yesterday, I started looking into modifying my car, but got a shock at the cost so I decided just to buy a better "standard" Exige.
I only have the watermarked sales pics at the moment, but I pick this Sport 410 up next Friday.
It has a charge cooled supercharger, better brakes & better suspension than the 380. It a 2019 car with only 1,400 miles on the clock. The deal includes me keeping the track friendly exhaust, the harnesses & harness bar + the soft top from my 380.
Can't wait to get it & to try it on track - I've 2 days booked in August, but might have to do something in July.

You are killing it, Andy!

STOOPID HOT CAR...
Re: Ridiculously Excited
Wicked looking car!
Holy door sills though! It looks like the seats are mounted so tight to the mid-line of the car you have to step across nearly a foot of door sill.

Re: Ridiculously Excited
The cills are the main structural chassis members, hence the width.
There is an art to entry - Drivers seat all the way back, one leg in, drop your butt onto the seat & then bring the other leg in, slide seat forward to suit.

I'd like to see a woman in a short skirt getting in.
Congratulations on the new car!

Re: Ridiculously Excited
Just read a review. This thing is a very lightweight beast. Enjoy!
Re: Ridiculously Excited
That looks amazing.
Ridiculously Excited
Had an opportunity to check a Lotus out on a recent mountain run. I won’t fit at 6’4” though. My Z07 Corvette on the left for comparison.

That's awesome, and your suck dude.
Side note. I've raced that track hundreds of times in a forza league i was in many years ago.
