i don't know how often i'll ever work all 5 days in the office any more, unless my company really makes a big deal of it. and i doubt my boss will care. i like being there, interacting with people, being social, and getting out of the house. but i hate getting up in the morning in general, so another 40-60+ mins of not having to commute or deal with wearing more than a tshirt (or shaving) is nice. less driving.

it's funny. in some ways i'm more productive with less "social" conversations. but i'm also more disconnected. and not bumping into people are getting pulled into conversations/meetings at random means i know a lot less about what's going on, which is a negative, too.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ditto. More productive working from home, miss the social aspect, do not miss the commute.

Our work at home order from work just got extended to late June for the earliest restart, but had a note saying "at-risk" folks should plan to do so until a vaccine is developed - so I'm doing it indefinitely.
my wife's work extended it until the end of the year. freaking weird

That was you’re problem, it was a bayliner. There’s such a thing as “bayliner mentality”. See it frequently.

17 weeks

They had 250 ready to go today and told us they'd all be gone this weekend.

Re-wired the boat and installed a new fuse block. Cleaned everything up and labeled all the circuits for future maintenance.

Took my father and son out fishing today.

Didn’t catch anything, but got to listen to a boat sink over the radio. No lives lost - another closer boat was able to make the rescue - but the mostly sunk boat is MIA.

I hope they find it soon as it would really suck to drive into a 16’ submerged runabout.

I also saw this:

Made me think of that movie “All Is Lost”.

No offense to sail boat owners, but forget that stuff. The day I have put my ass in a sling and hoist myself 40’ in the air is the day I give up boating.

Getting on with some more upcycling. Repurposed an old mirror. It will get fixed to garage wall with a flower box below it ImageImage

We have a mirror behind the kitchen range-top. Does a great job making the space feel less closed-in.

I've been using the time to totally give up on my appearances and focus on growing homeless dude hair and a beard. Oh and been playing my drums.... A lot. Image

Kind of a vintage Steve McQueen vibe going on there.
