If I Ever Decide To Add another Damasko...
Just saw this pic of a DA-42 on the FB German Watches Group, looks sharp.
Probably opt for the 12 hour bezel.

Nice looking Damasko.
Always good on the used market (chronos notwithstanding).

That's really sharp.

Not bad. Would be better without the crosshair on the dial and the day wheel, though.

You will reach an age where a day wheel will help in keeping oriented X 3.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Ha! Actually, I think it's very useful in these lockdown days. Just like no date watches, though, for me it's aesthetics over utility.

It must be the AR coating, but Damasko's always look terrific in pictures. I definitely need to try one someday.
Re: If I Ever Decide To Add another Damasko...
Really does look great Matt !
You can see it still has that traditional Damasko design, and sleekness,
but that things somehow seem more modern, and futuristic. Just the
look of the finish, and black, which almost looks gray is beautiful. It
even carries over onto that awesome strap. Which is not your average
every day strap ! How about that orange too?! ..Very subdued, yet very
cool !
Really appreciate the heads up sir. THX !!!

I had the version with the yellow minute hand and the pvd lume dial version. They're great little watches, tough as nails too, both looked new a year or so later when I sold them.

I just wish Damasko would do something about the terrible lume (on non-lume dial models). Watches this style deserve better. I'd own another one if it was improved.

Had this over eight years, really can't find a mark on the case.
However, it did spend about two years in Damasko's "care" for horrible service.

I like it a lot including the crosshair on the dial but all their watches look the same.
I do want to try one. I do like the W&W Damasko with the green dial.

I've been mulling the DH 2.0 for awhile now
as Todd mentioned above, the lack of lume is lame on modern watches

I dunno, I'd take the equivalent Sinn over any Damasko made, even the ones that appeal to me.

Same here, but there’s usually a significant price difference.dukerules wrote:I dunno, I'd take the equivalent Sinn over any Damasko made, even the ones that appeal to me.

Agreed, but if you like the look you are getting a lot of interesting tech (and crap lume) for under $1.5k new with Damasko.dukerules wrote:I dunno, I'd take the equivalent Sinn over any Damasko made, even the ones that appeal to me.
