My baby at work as an RT. So far, all Covid patients are mild and most are not even needing regular breathing treatments. Mom & Dad worry more than daughter...

Celebrating a negative test.
In all seriousness. Please be safe out there.

Nice! Especially right outside your door.four20 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 4:10 pmNice! I did a 2 hr ride today on my fatbike. I bought my house back in Sept and this is the first time I've really had a chance to explore. There's a fantastic network of trails and the easternmost end is basically behind my house. Found a 40' climbing wall, some technical singletrack and a frisbee golf course. the parks and rec here is astoundingly good for a town that has a less than stellar rep lol (Sanford, ME).hobbit712 wrote:WOW what a thread...especially since i posted last.
Ed hope your son is going to be OK.
My little vacation to NC to self isolate ended yesterday. One last hurrah this afternoon on the MTB. Longest ride yet.

Back to work tomorrow. Going to be interesting for sure. My fear is that with everyone staying at home, possibly drinking, there are going to be many more family disturbances. I understand our dispatchers are now asking each 911 caller if they have been exposed.

Just back from a 10K around the neighborhood. Funny enough, I left saying to myself I would run slow and just enjoy being outside. Turns out I posted one of my faster 10K times and I wasn't even really trying.

That's what I miss the most about my office... guess I could buy something like yours from Amazon.

That's what we did. Mine's a Vivo ($170) and my wife got a Fezibo ($130).

Nah, that's lube in a hand sanitizer bottle - need something to pass the time in these long conference calls, but want my wife to think I'm being responsible!

Another way to amuse yourself during conference calls: use the Magic 8-Ball to answer your coworkers' questions.

Yep. That and conference call bingo!BacoNoir wrote:Nah, that's lube in a hand sanitizer bottle - need something to pass the time in these long conference calls, but want my wife to think I'm being responsible!

Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?
I spent two weeks working from our lake house and just got back to the big city. Getting renovation done there, so headed back next weekend. Office is 300 ft of lake frontage. Everyone’s figuring out there’s no reason to go to an office! Sell short all commercial real estate because no one needs the fixed costs!
On the gun thing: not rushing to the gun store for guns and ammo because I already have plenty of both. It was a tad hard when I bought my Walther PPS M2 (which I love by the way!) last month because the line to check out took me longer than getting the gun. I’m in Georgia, so when you have a carry permit, you pick it out, they run the ID (30 seconds) and they take it to checkout (5 minutes) for you. Took 20 minutes total, as it should for someone who’s already been fingerprinted and background checked.
Looks like everyone addressed the WRUE (what are you eating) thing. At the lake the supermarket is a large independent that still employs young men from the community that desperately need employment, dresses them in khakis, and require them to take your groceries! Old school! Point being, they have massive amounts of fresh vegetables and meats, so I’ve gained 4 pounds in two weeks! Fresh collards and cornbread. Yum!
Come on down!

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?
Agree, been trying to work 2 days a week from home for a year but my boss doesn't want to do it fixed (I can ask day by day and she always says yes though... I just don't do it every week). Hope she sees after all this that all work got done on time.franco60 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 3:12 pmI spent two weeks working from our lake house and just got back to the big city. Regarding guns, I only have holsters for my concealed carry guns (MP shield, Ruger LCP2 and Walther PPQ SC) and for my IDPA gun (Walther PPQ M2 5", OWB holster), been browsing OWB holsters for my Glock 19 with Streamlight TLR-1 light. You know, in case SHTF I have another Glock 19 without light... might as well get a holster for it.
SHTF bag with AR15 SBR and PPQ SC:
Also want this:
And to end my post: two nice photos with my son from last month... damn how I wish I could do that with him tomorrow:
He's better than me with the bow and arrow!

Will check them out. This is my office setup, but at home I only have one monitor so a smaller one will do.

I just stopped by Tech for Less and picked up a 27" monitor for $105. Sweet deal

Finally finished the hoist to store my Yakima roofbox in the rafters. $6 (after coupon) Harbor Freight bike hoist, a $5 2x6 and the rest I already had on hand. The box has 6'x2' footprint and had been sitting on sawhorses. This clears a significant amount of space in my small garage

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?
don't know how you can work with one monitor.
my home setup is really my travel setup. laptop screen and a portable USB monitor. screens aren't as big as a pair of nice big monitors. both are 15.4". but the resolution is the same and my tired old eyes can still make it work. and i just shove that portable monitor in it's case and slide it into the interior pocket of my carry on bag when i travel, so dual monitors wherever i go.

Sorry, I meant laptop monitor plus an external monitor.gwells wrote:don't know how you can work with one monitor.
