New Topper LE - Laco Flieger

I just realized I didn't post anything about this one. I generally don't attend the watch events that are broadcasted more broadly (not really my thing), but I usually like to get over to Topper to check out the watches separately if I can.

Topper's latest LE is Laco Flieger in the similar design style as the rest of their LEs (white lacquer dial, blued indices).

While I love the concept, I didn't expect to be ordering one. After seeing the prototype in person, that changed. The size is perfect on the wrist (that great combo of wrist-presence and understatement), the blued dial/hands are really dynamic, and white-dialed pilot watches are not very common.

I don't need to write much more about it since there have been a few articles, but I've got one incoming later this month. Looking forward to it.

That's a good looking watch. The blue & white work well together. Looks incredibly 'white' though. And I _like_ white watches :D

I love white dials, but this one really doesn't sing to me and I'm still trying to figure out why. I had the Archimede Pilot 42 Automatik white dial and this Topper LE reminds me of it.

Oh wow, yeah dueling dual congratulations there !!

Hadn't seen this one yet Matt, and can see why the both of you
liked it so much. ..I mean it has the classic pilot's feel, but then
manages to separate itself from the pack both looks, and also
quality wise it seems. Plus it will be a limited edition.

I almost pulled the trigger last week when Rob emailed me to say he found my email in his junk folder and had one for me if I wanted it. I thought about it again but passed. Something about the size/placement of the arabic numbers seems off to me, but otherwise this one is outstanding. I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts on it after a month or so.
