I'm going to get the horned/curved end version when it comes out in a few months.

Any idea which watch will the curved end fits on?

All of them. Doesn’t fit directly to the case. Much better looking than the straight end version to me, but both are historically correct in that they were worn by astronauts.

I don’t get it. A 15mm wide metal version of an Erikas strap, but you need to put plastic on your watch to prevent the spring loaded end links from marring the watch. Definitely not for me.

It's a direct repro of the 60's-era bracelets used by NASO astronauts on their Speedmasters, and that's its primary appeal.

The Apollo 8 crew wearing theirs:

Definitely not a modern bracelet, definitely not for everyone, and definitely not something I would wear every day. But definitely cool, IMO.

I’m going to grab one for my Speedy, just for the historical aspect. I’ll probably put it on, hate it, and it will be banished to the Island of Misfit Straps.

I also think this would go well on vintage.

I saw this and like the idea that there would be no gap on 20mm lugs. There is one thing that gives me pause. Someone on the Omega Forum mentioned that the spring loaded ends can damage the inside of the lugs. The springs on the re-issue are supposed to be stronger than the ones on the original. Al Archer suggested using an o-ring to protect the case.

It comes with ‘internal lug protectors’.

OK, I've run out of excuses why I shouldn't buy one.

"Applying the Internal Lug Protectors:

Each JB Band is supplied with a strip of 1/8 inch polyimide "dots," which help ensure the ends of the bracelet do not directly contact the internal portion of your watch's lugs. For best results, peel off a single dot and apply it centrally over a lug hole with a pair of tweezers. Press down with your finger to secure it on the lug. With a safety pin or other pointy object, make a hole in the dot into the lug hole. Then, attach your bracelet as usual. If you need more of these dots, you can purchase a very large number of them inexpensively, for example here or here. Another type of dot that works for this purpose are "Zots" 1/8 inch clear adhesive dots, which can be purchased here."

So worth the coin. Just like the original and very, very comfortable. Great for vintage.
