^^^I like them. I would had to change the colors on the hands though. They are kind of to much of the same color.

I was checking out the Pepsi yesterday, think these are the nicest watches Certina has released in a long time.

I like this one, need to check more pics of the other colour options. GMT's are all the rage this year...

In the same boat.
Re: Certina's DS Action GMT Powermatic 80
Sorry, meant checking it out online.
Re: Certina's DS Action GMT Powermatic 80
Oh shit, that's real nice. Been waiting on the vintage DS to hit Joma, but this is a nice diversion.
Re: Certina's DS Action GMT Powermatic 80
Necro thread bumping, but FYI Joma has these for under $595 for the stainless / bracelet.
Good news: the movement is a "true GMT" with an independently adjustable hour hand.
Bad news: as I mentioned earlier, it is a 43mm case and I think a 51mm lug to lug. I know it'll just be too big for me.

Just as an additional FYI, this video is probably the best review of the watch I've found. I'm sorry it is in German, but I think in the end he says "it's just too damn big"

I pulled the trigger just to check it out. Worst case is it costs me return shipping.
200m water resistant plus a real GMT movement is a tough combo to beat.

Re: Certina's DS Action GMT Powermatic 80
I’ll post up pics when it arrives. I’m hopeful it’ll fit well, but not overly optimistic.
I love the specs and actually find the dial with its applied indices and dual bevel rehaut an interesting way to present the GMT scale.
If it were about 2mm smaller in every direction it would be a winner, but probably also not be on Joma for $575.

Which dial did you get?Ryeguy wrote:I’ll post up pics when it arrives. I’m hopeful it’ll fit well, but not overly optimistic.

The black coating might make the watch visually a bit smaller, but green / tan accents were a bit too much for me.
Plus, I think the white date wheel looks best with the white lume (kind of completes the abbreviated marker).
Re: Certina's DS Action GMT Powermatic 80
Just got it in from Joma.
Still debating keeping it or not. The size isn't as bad as I thought, but it is still a large watch. The lugs do turn down and the case back is flat, so the watch wears close to the wrist.
Quickset hour hand so perfect for traveling. 200m water resistant.
My wrist is about 7 inches for reference.

Re: Certina's DS Action GMT Powermatic 80
For reference, I just noticed this Certina is about exactly the same size as an Omega Aqua Terra GMT.
Lug to lug is 50mm.
