Strapcode Jubilee Question

Post by abuemily » Sun Nov 10, 2019 7:36 am

I’m looking at picking up a Strapcode Jubilee for my NAFTs after seeing David’s on his PADI. Sweet. Went to the website and saw they have both the Super Jubilee and the evidently on steroids Angus Jubilee. Anyone have any insight or experience with the Angus? Trying to figure out if it will look weirdly large. The reviews I’ve read say the quality is higher, particularly the end pieces, but the links themselves look significantly larger.

I have the Angus Jubilee. It’s definitely heavy and overbuilt, but it works on the NAFT. I don’t think it works as well on any of the smaller watches.

Yeah, those links are definitely upsized. And my wrist is smaller than yours. Food for thought, thanks.

It’s definitely beefy. The Turtle with Angus is as heavy as my Planet Ocean 8500, which is a hog.

I have the Angus on my STO and had the Super on a 009. The Angus is a 22>20 taper and the Super is 22>18.

IMO, the Super works better on the SKX and the Angus on the turdle because of the proportions.

Personally I prefer the 18mm taper at the clasp with the Jubilee, or any bracelet for that matter. Just feels better on my 7" wrist.

That beefed angus jubilee looks a tad oversized in my opinion.

This is not the case with NAFT bracelets. Both are 22/18. I forgot that I have both. Here are some comparison photos I just took:

You know, I got out my calipers and you are 100% correct. I could have sworn the Strapcode specs said 22>20 but I just checked and WRONG AGAIN.

Maybe i had it mixed up with their Oyster

I stand corrected

Also, I just noticed the bracelets are now called "Super-J Louis," "Angus-J Louis," and "Super-O Boyer"

Does Rolex hold a copyright on Jubille and Oyster..?
