Re: ***WRUW Friday Nov 8th**
New strap on old watch!
Excited about the new RubberB strap for deployant that arrived last night for my newer version DSSD James Cameron with the 22mm lugs. I cannot do the bracelet on this one (or its 21mm lugs predecessor) for very long so have been somewhat beholden to whatever RubberB or Everest put out for these watches (since isofrane and other options I have tried have not stuck for long).
When I had the 21mm lug version, RubberB's deployant and tang straps both had the extra wings that sturdied the watch on the wrist and made it a lot more comfortable, but the wings and extreme taper (especially with deployant) always looked strange to me. Everest had a "normal" strap with a tang buckle but it was a little thin and bowed out too much from the wrist so it was never very comfortable.
I moved on to the newer 22mm lug version early this year and have been impatiently waiting on RubberB or Everest to get something out. RubberB finally put out a strap with a tang buckle 3 or 4 months ago and I bought it, but it had the same flaired edges that were not my favorite so I wore it but again impatiently waited on their version for the deployant. I was surprised and excited earlier this week when I saw it come out, and it was a "normal" strap with blue sides and underside similar to what they did for the SD43 with red.
Cutting to the chase, I really love this new combo. Looks more normal and streamlined, does not bow out from the wrist and the blue is very subtle. Bottom line, it is comfortable and makes this huge watch look and feel a bit less huge on the wrist.
I still cannot take good straight on pics of this dial due to the domed crystal, but here are two shots!

Just picked up an 856AB. I was a huge fan of the regular 856 but couldn’t resist the blue dial and satin case. Looking to add the bracelet sometime.

Thanks guys, I always kinda worry about legibility when getting a white dial watch with lumed hands, but the slightly "aged" lume seems to work pretty well on this one
