Dumb question - Sinn ratchet clasp

Post by deepcdvr » Sat Oct 05, 2019 7:11 pm

I currently have two of my favorite Sinns in the stable at the same time. One has a 22mm lug with, the other 20.

Anyway, I love the Sinn bracelets, but on both watches my wrist falls between the damn adjustment holes.

I’ve heard that Sinn is putting out a ratchet clasp at some point in the future, but does anyone know of an after market clasp I can jury rig to my current set up?

Thanks dudes

Oh how I wish!

My (new to me) U1 Pro has the bracelet, but I’m in the same situation as you. I don’t understand why Sinn hasn’t made this happen already.

I do have one. I’ll check where I got it. It’s a small clasp that’s not great but does the trick.

This is the one. Strapcode has substitute Sinn clasps, too.

This looks like it’s for the rubber strap, not the bracelet.
Have you tried it on the bracelet?

No, I have it on Sinn rubber, but under accessories they have what look like large and small bracelet clasps and deployants.

I’m in a somewhat similar boat - does Sinn offer half links for the H link bracelet? Couldn’t find anything online.

Do we know for certain that the clasp will fit the bracelet?

IDK? I want it for the silicone Image

The description states it’s for straps 4mm-5mm thick.
Maybe it’ll fit both?

I started a similar thread at WUS Sinn forum to see if any one could shed some light on the Sinn style large divers clasp.

Forum member “brazza” came through with lots of photos and thoughts of his clasp Image

There’s nothing “Sinn style” about that clasp. It’s the same generic clasp that UTS introduced 10 years ago and is now used by nearly every micro brand. It’s not a bad clasp, but it is enormous.

Hey Chris,

I’m referring to the large clasp on the silicone straps. Not the bracelet clasps Image

Thanks Shannon

I don’t know if that would work on a bracelet though

I actually have that clasp and use it on my X-33 with fitted canvas. It is big but no bigger than my Pelagos clasp. And it’s very comfortable. The ratchet extension is great. A bit gritty but does the job.

I was thinking about getting one of these clasps to put on the BC300 I have for my Squale 50 ATMOS, but now I’m thinking that watch is too light / my wrist is too slim, for it to fit properly.

I’ll ponder a bit more.
