Yet Another Hodinkee LE
Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
They’re a business and clearly their marketing is working.
Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
It’ll be a riff on the Rieussec, which I love, but no way I’d pony up for it.

Should be pretty fantastic Andrew, and if they are anything like the
models Joe is showing, that would be beyond cool.
Will definitely be fun to see.
Hadn't heard about this, so thanks once again for news sir !

Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
It's a stainless steel monopusher chronograph with a Minerva movement. LE of 25, includes a trip to Montblanc in Switzerland. Just $30K.

Not sold out yet. Not surprised given that price tag.

Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
In a world where a stainless 3-hander Nautilus is fetching $60k, I get it. That Minerva movement is hot. But honestly, not a huge market for a $30k Montblanc...

can't wait to see what Hoodorkee and Invicta are cooking up!
not a fan of clipped numerals trip to Switzerland sounds nice though

I don't buy pens from watch companies and I don't buy watches from pen companies.

Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
Probably why they're selling it as an "experience" - watch and trip to Switzerland. It seems like it's more of a big marketing opportunity for both Hodinkee and Montblanc, who I'm sure want to be known as much for their watches as they are for their pens. They just need 25 rich people willing to pony up for the package (or at least enough to make marketing the trip worthwhile). After the trip, I'm sure Hodinkee will do a huge report on their site, which will give both Hodinkee and Montblanc good press and exposure.
The watch itself looks good, and I like the fact that it isn't oversized. The movement is great. Just barely priced out of this one, though.

I’m waiting now for the hoedinkee Kobold le with trip to Nepal.

That logo for MB is awful....
Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
Agreed. Bothers me a lot. Much prefer they stuck with the star.jimyritz wrote:That logo for MB is awful....

this is proof Hodinkee has a ton of selling power. no watch dude in his right mind would pay this much for Montblanc

Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
I think the trip is better than the watch. I guess you could just buy the trip with that 30k and include your family...
And still have money leftover...

Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
If I had over 10 million Id do it in a heart beat!
The trip will truly be a once in a lifetime experience I am sure, first class all the way.
For those with 30K play money this is a bucket list trip!
Very cool watch, should be interesting to see what they bring on the secondary. Surely it will be less than the 30K as you do not get.a trip LOL but with it only being 25 watches I do not think it will be a HUGE drop. But that is my .02 and .02 is honestly more than my opinion is truly worth LOL!

Re: Yet Another Hodinkee LE
It doesn't matter because people will buy a turd if Hodinki was involved, but I couldn't agree more. The old vintage ones look great, and then this one looks great among them... until you look at the logo.
