Chillin' at Half Moon Jamaica (Montego Bay)

Post by djh1201 » Wed Sep 18, 2019 9:12 am

My first trip to Jamaica (long-overdue)! Really impressed with Half Moon - 200 Hotel Rooms and Villas on 400 acres, so very private, with old-school elegance. People here are so genuinely friendly, wife is already making plans to come back next year!

We had a Jr. Suite right on the water - so nice to sit on your patio and just listen to the waves roll in!

Took the Squale for a spin - really falling in love with this one, the purple/blue dial works for me. They have improved the bezel action vs my old 1521, as well as the stem/crown feel, cleaned up the dial and all the extraneous Squale references (including the case).

Also lunch at Scotchies is a must - killer jerk!

Apologizes in advance for my amateur photography skills.

Thanks guys! We've seen quite a bit of the Caribbean over the years, and this is our new favorite spot for a relaxing vacation.

Probably going back in Nov/early Dec next year as the rates are still pretty low - winter prices are a bit obscene!

Nice! I've been to Jamaica once in Ocho Rios.

Don't waste your money going to Dunn's River Falls. Once upon a time it may have been a natural falls, but not any more. Pump station provides a continuous flow of water to keep the tourists happy.
