New Polaris Limited Edition
New Polaris Limited Edition
Beautiful watch, wears well on the rubber strap.

I really liked this one. Yes, we whine about the anemic power reserve, 21mm lugs, etc. However, for the price of a Reverso, it’s a cool diver.

Love this one.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong

Re: New Polaris Limited Edition
Well....“diver” is a bit of a stretch. The owners manual indicates you can’t even jump into the pool off a diving board. Pretty yes, but it’s a fashion watch and not a working watch.aikiman44 wrote:I really liked this one. 200 meters.
That diving board restriction is bizarre, but I’d swim/snorkel with it.

Man oh man, looks unbelievably nice sir, and somehow even cooler in your
pics here to be honest with you ! You really get such a great feel for the
size of the case, and quality of the strap. Plus we can see that this dial is
even more majestic than we thought.
Thanks so so much !!!

While it’s rated 200m I wouldn’t take it beyond pool depth. My black one was also lovely but I have zero confidence in JLC.aikiman44 wrote:200 meters.

Re: New Polaris Limited Edition
Watch was delivered new with poor timekeeping, crap under the crystal & on dial, and winding noise.aikiman44 wrote:No. How did they respond?
Came back with shit loose inside the watch. Sounded like rotor was gonna fall off. Worse than I Miyota 9015. No paperwork returned with watch.
I emailed the President of JLC and he agreed to take the watch back. Their Texas Richemont service center sucked.
This after JLC did a quiet “soft” dealer recall for issues with the crown and caseback seals and clasp issues.
It was pretty and I loved that look, but it was frankly a POS. Buy another Rolex instead.
Re: New Polaris Limited Edition
That sucks. I experienced couple of issues that were handled quickly and efficiently. I guess every company has their BS.

Re: New Polaris Limited Edition
My interactions with them have always been smooth and quick - from outright watch replacement on a new watch to movement servicing.
As always - it is the luck of the draw sometimes.

Re: New Polaris Limited Edition
Personally, I would not hesitate on a JLC - especially the Polaris.
With the new JLC warranty, you are covered to like the end of the next decade.
