New JLC Polaris LE with blue dial
Re: New JLC Polaris LE with blue dial
maybe because I am nowhere near in the market to pick up any watches for a long time... this looks great to me. Some of the specs might bug me if I was considering it to add to the collection though...
Re: New JLC Polaris LE with blue dial
Right..?! A JLC, for that kind of money, should probably offer something more than a 2824.
Re: New JLC Polaris LE with blue dial
I agree with the power reserve/movement comments, and think an additional strap would be appropriate. I think a newer movement would have increased the price at least 2-3K.
I’m still drawn to this, though, because of the dial, finishing, etc. I’m going to check one out in person.

That faux patina looks good. Not overdone. Light and creamy.
I used to be the anti-faux/forced patina guy but the more vintage becomes harder to obtain, and the fact modern lume doesn't seem to patina like it's radioactive counterparts, I say why the hell not?

My kind of blue
Re: New JLC Polaris LE with blue dial
I don't know; it used to be JLC had the best date window- now it's generic and you could argue it's in the way altogether. 38 hr power reserve on an $8200 watch...Tudor 58 gives you 70 hr..At least it's 200M...and I do like the blue...
