New Guy Here
New Guy Here
Just wanted to "follow the rules" and introduce myself. The honest answer about why I joined is that I have a vintage Doxa Sub 300T Professional, US Divers that I want to sell. I have some unexpected (and unexpectedly large) home repairs and discovered that my old dive watch was valuable.
Back in the early and mid 70s I was both PADI and NAUI certified (next step was Dive Master). This was back in the days when you'd use a Navy surplus Mae West for a BC. Then I moved to places that either had no nearby diving or were too cold When I returned years later to warm weather I discovered that 1) I was now claustrophobic and 2) my wife had zero interest in diving.
The closest I've been to diving has been snorkeling while on vacation. The only remnants of my diving days are the watch (which hasn't been worn in probably 35 years) and my dive knife.
I almost wish I was a watch guy because it seems like you people are good to be around.

Re: New Guy Here
I don’t think you’ll fit here. You’re an actual diver- these guys are all desk divers and sausage divers.
