Those are fetching huge $$ these days...not the one's with JP stains though.
It was a shit box. I can’t believe they’re desirable.
This would be fun...

I’m sure it’s hard to find one that doesn’t reek of weed due to decades of hot boxing.

I agree Terry, I feel the same. The red DoubleCab belongs to a buddy of mine, he paid 8k for it 6 years ago. You can't find a total rust bucket for less than 15k now...

Apparently owned by the wife of the ex-Ford CEO. It is their “summer Cape Cod car”.

A partner of mine picked one up a year or so ago for $36K and was bragging about what a great deal he got on it. Now he’s been doing nothing but dumping money into it. New brakes, transmission, engine etc...it’s an affliction much like watches I thinkImage

That's why the old school, air-cooled buses are the way to go! Parts are getting hard to find for the Vanagons, they aren't making them any longer. I'm off to the VW show, I'll post pics later. :headbang:

WHAT?

All the economic indicators are turning pretty bad recently, if this and $13k submariners aren’t the textbook signs of a top, I don’t know what could be.
Cars, art, wine, and watches are perfect instruments for transferring dirty money around.

Funny I remember when Vanagons got no love at all. Especially the aircooled version.

I agree Terry, I feel the same. The red DoubleCab belongs to a buddy of mine, he paid 8k for it 6 years ago. You can't find a total rust bucket for less than 15k now...
That DC is dope. One of my favorite honestly. I was never a SC fan. But the bay windows are my favorite VW hands down. Splits are not made for fat guys like me. :angryfire: Not to mention they have always been out of my price range.

Hey that red Bay window with the Porsche slots on it, what is the compartment on the drivers side? Propane hook ups?

It’s a treasure chest, just made it look like vented propane grate. Pretty cool!
