I’m feeling the same. After getting Wu’s EZM2, I’m finding it hard to believe it’s not s good as an auto. Lightweight, clean, dependable. I love the thing.

It’s totally fine. Just like when Terry called me and she went gay. I was like- it’s cool. Don’t worry I still love yous. I just won’t change in front of you or let you watch my kids. But good for you. Glad you finally glad you got that weight off your sholder and got a hard dick in your ass.

I’m seriously considering one of those Seiko digital tunas. I’ve never been a big G-Shock fan, but this Seiko seems like a good alternative.

Re: Going Quartz, Never Thought It Would Happen
Heck quartz started me into this watch disease. I’m 42 and grew up with quartz. I didn’t know what a mechanical watch was. My Uncle gave me an old TAG two tone quartz diver he didn’t wear anymore when I graduated from college. Wore the heck out of it and thought I was hot shit. That watch got stolen and my now wife bought me a titanium T-Touch for that next Christmas. I took it to one of the higher end jewelers (Omega, Rolex, etc AD) when it needed a battery and the woman laughed at me and told me to take it to little battery/watch kiosk at that mall. Basically told me it was crap and real watches didn’t use batteries. That led me to researching on the internets and.....well y’all know the rest of that story. I’m here right? Still have a chip on my shoulder about that interaction - that AD carries Tudor now - I didn’t buy my Pelagos from them . Still have my “crappy” T-Touch, a Lum-Tec Combat, a G-Shock and love and wear all 3. Seriously considering the GS 9F GMT for my next pick up.

Of the keepers, I’ve got three G-shocks for grab and go.
The thing I hate about quartz is it could be a crap shoot getting the second hand to tick and land exactly on the minute markers on the dial. OCD in the house.

It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

I typically wear an Auto during the day and slip this on after work.

Have several Quartz watches. A couple G’s a couple Chronosport’s a Seiko and a GlycineAirman. Started with a Rolex datejust and ended up giving it to a buddy who did the remodel/addition on my house. Now days I primarily wear either the PO or a G depending on what my day is going to be like.

Same here but most of Scurfa's have been almost dead on the mark. My GS is definitely dead on.Axelay2003 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2019 7:21 amThe thing I hate about quartz is it could be a crap shoot getting the second hand to tick and land exactly on the minute markers on the dial. OCD in the house.

Re: Going Quartz, Never Thought It Would Happen
I had a UX and loved it and my interested (wish) list has been mostly quartz for a while. This may be tied to my dwindling interest in watches and my annoyance at constantly having to wind one to wear it. I work from home and don’t always put on a watch which means almost everything is dead anytime I need one. I find my self wearing whatever’s ticking which for the last week has been my Datejust.
My current and long standing auto wish list is either an Explorer or a 40mm Exp2 and possibly a SMPC (the first one not the wave dial).
On the other hand I could be interested in any number of quartz watches:
Another UX
Aerospace Evo
SBGX015 or 15
Ares
Quartz SMP
Scurfa

No judgment here, you’re among friends.
Re: Going Quartz, Never Thought It Would Happen
Yep, I really like having a few grab & go quartz in the collection.
Re: Going Quartz, Never Thought It Would Happen
Like many of you, a few years back I’d scoff at the off chance of owning more than a G-shock for a grab and go.
Currently, I’m up to 4 G’s and a Citizen chrono quartz. They serve their purpose well and they give the Pelagos some much needed down time

I too always favored automatic or handwound mvts but never really wrote off Quartz Watches. I think one can be a watch enthusiast and still own Quartz Watches
I currently have a dozen including many Scurfas, two Meca-Quartz Undone chronos, an old Breitling, a Zodiac Grand Rally chrono and a Avi-8 watch. I also have three G-shocks

Re: Going Quartz, Never Thought It Would Happen
Pretty much my philosophy. Usually a quartz Seiko Caesar for work most days.
Days off it can be either. I can say I will try to usually color coordinate. Black tshirt=black dial....blue tshirt=blue dial...etc.
The above disclaimer is because I know how this place operates./
